Good morning, Netizen. Thanks for the ping to the info about Bucky. I always liked him, starting with the fact that he's an attractive, straight guy. I had problems moving through the different musical genres on the show, but as a country singer, I think he'll do fine.
The funny thing is that while AI has produced Carrie, Josh Gracin and Bucky, the first of the total AI rip offs, Nashville Star, has yet to produce a star. :)

Actually, Chris Young, last year's winner, has done really well. He'll outsell Josh Gracin, IMO. Buddy Jewel, season one winner, had several hits off his first CD release, but I haven't heard anything lately from him. Miranda Lambert, who finished back in the pack in season 1, I believe, has also had several hits.
What's really cruel is that the talent level of NS is much higher than AI, but NS doesn't really pull in a very large audience over on USA network (was almost cancelled twice) so nobody has heard these folks sing.
For some reason, the folks voting on USA have consistently picked the wrong person to win, as well. For 3 of the 5 NS seasons, including this one, the best singer and one most likely to really succeed has finished 2nd. IMHO.
