WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Vice President Dick Cheney's pregnant lesbian daughter Mary will make a "fine mom," President George W. Bush said, sidestepping his past comment that a child ideally would be raised by a mother and father.
Mary Cheney, 37, and her longtime partner, Heather Poe, are expecting their first child, which would be the sixth grandchild for the vice president. Cheney was hired last year as an executive for America Online.
"I think Mary is going to be a loving soul to her child. And I'm happy for her," Bush said in an interview with People magazine.

Ah, but, it is obvious from the laws they passed, even after they wrote the founding documents of this country, that they did not consider that liberty included the right to do wrong. And they most definitely considered homosexuality to be "wrong."

Is this the all-gay-males-are-NAMBLA-types garbage again?
To: Sunsong
It's funny you should refer to me as an extremist, actually. It is you and your fellow travelers in the gay rights movement who are trying to upset the centuries-old moral order of things.

Is this the all-gay-males-are-NAMBLA-types garbage again? Actually, no. He was being ridiculous in trying to paint those who oppose the gay agenda as Islamic radicals and theocrats, so I just figured a bit of turn-about was fair play.

Ah, but, it is obvious from the laws they passed, even after they wrote the founding documents of this country, that they did not consider that liberty included the right to do wrong. And they most definitely considered homosexuality to be "wrong." Here is what Thomas Jefferson thought of law:
"Of liberty I would say that, in the whole plenitude of its extent, it is unobstructed action according to our will. But rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law,' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the right of an individual."
Of course we have the *right* to do wrong. People do *wrong* all the time. It is wrong to lie. how many people do you knwo that lie? It is wrong to commit adultery. How many people in this country commit adultery every day. We all have the right to do wrong. It is theocrats who want to take away our liberty and dictate to us what we can and cannot do - as the example of sharia law.
Freedom to choose is the meaning of free will. We have choice. And, as I have said so many times,I support the most freedom possible - the freedom to sin - the freedom to do wrong and to experience the consequences of our choices.
Are you, as others have on this thread, advocating that we go back into the past and live life as it was in colonial times?

No, actually, we're trying to prevent you and others like you from taking us back much further...to the civilizations that destroyed themselves by falling into debauchery and decay. I have no desire to see the American republic go the way of the Roman one, or of Sodom.

And here I thought that the Founders wouldn't EVER try to legislate the bedroom. Gee I learn something new every day from EV. Apparently you want to legislate the bedroom EV, just have the moxie to actually say it.

Yes or no EV. You want to ban certain things done in a person's own bedroom simply because YOU don't like it. It's an easy question, Yes or No.
Now I KNOW you won't put yourself out there and drive away perspective employers, just like with how you won't list candidates who have won OR your abysmal win-loss record, but it's fun to have these conversations.....
And tell me again how asking questions is from the leftist playbook????

Do you let Dr. Keyes near your kids?
You do know, he created a lesbian, better keep him away, he might influence your kids!

Do you want to have the government track who is and who isn't a homosexual? How about making them wear little pink stars?

By the way, it's nice to see that even you have limits...

The hypocrisy is huge, lesbians shouldn't have kids because they will not be raised correctly, but Dr. Keyes raised a lesbian, so, therefore Dr. Keyes is evil and shouldn't be around kids.
LOL
