WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Vice President Dick Cheney's pregnant lesbian daughter Mary will make a "fine mom," President George W. Bush said, sidestepping his past comment that a child ideally would be raised by a mother and father.

Mary Cheney, 37, and her longtime partner, Heather Poe, are expecting their first child, which would be the sixth grandchild for the vice president. Cheney was hired last year as an executive for America Online.

"I think Mary is going to be a loving soul to her child. And I'm happy for her," Bush said in an interview with People magazine.

Though I do agree that love would stop a child from running off a cliff. Love would not then proceed to beat that child. I do not see your posts on this site as loving. Not at all. The parent who saved a child from running off a cliff would then hold that child and express their love for them.

We should tell ourselves the truth - be brutally honest with ourselves - but we should be tactfully honest with others. Keep your homosexual friends out of the public square, away from my kids, and stop trying to normalize the abnormal, and you won't have any problem with me. I've long said that I support the most freedom possible as long as what one is doing is not consciously harming others. If you think about it - you'll see that it is wise advice. You are free to do as you will - as long as you do not harm others...or as Jefferson put it - as long your exercise of freedom does not interfere with someone else's exercise of their freedom.
