To: The Republican Party
I am a Christian conservative or social conservative. I am Pro-Life. I vote.
Rudy Giuliani is pro-gay, pro-gun control, and pro-abortion.
For these reasons and others, I state very firmly that I will not vote for Rudy Giuliani for President of the United States under any circumstances.
Senator John McCain has waffled on human cloning, has supported experimentation on human embryos, and has attacked prominent Christian clergy because of the, "evil influence that they exercise." John McCain has said of Pro-Life voters, on a public broadcast radio show, that they are, "otherwise intelligent people who say that that's the only issue that will determine their vote." McCain told the San Francisco Chronicle, "I would not support repeal of Roe v. Wade."
For these reasons and others, I state very firmly that I will not vote for John McCain for President of the United States under any circumstances.
Sincerely,
It would help FR a LOT! If it doesn't happen, 2000 on FR will look like a Victorian tea party, in comparison.
Forget it!
We ALL know Jim's opinion of McCain. The first primary has yet to be held and you've already got your panties in a wad.
You had taken it to a personal and insulting level and you know it, F.C.
I would be electing a CIC and POTUS, not an elder in a church.
Good grief.
300 million people and we can't find another Reagan?
Robertson was right on about John McCain. Giuliani is pro-gay, anti-Second Amendment, supported Demcorats against Republicans in the past, is pro-abortion, and neither one will ever get my vote. Nor will "Mitt" Romney.
All the others are o.k. with me.
I agree. Let's see what happens after the first of the year.
Who's the GOP's young go-getter to counter Obama?
Do you think that all Mormons serving in the US Congress, or as governors, are unfit somehow, and a clear and present danger, or just in the POTUS spot? What does "high office" mean? What religious sect do you adhere to? I might consider black listing its members for "high office," in an irritable moment. I really loathe this religious sect spill over into the public square as some litmus test thing.
I have no idea.
"Fast Coyote's attacks against me have been personal and vicious. Is that sort of thing allowed now on the F.R.? And all I talked about was "religious tolerance"...I guess that is synonymous now with "idiot"."
I will be happy to refrain from speaking to you ever again. I think you are simply hurt by being asked to make hard logical decisions. Since you can't handle this without crying to the moddies, I bid you adieu.
That's big of you. Are you a Donnie and Marie fan or are they scammers too?
You said -- "Shove it. A Mormon is running for the nomination, not a wiccan, athiest or a satanist."
They're all the same (that list that you gave). In terms of Christianity (not the newspaper and secular definition) -- they're all classified as *CULTS*.
So, any Christian who votes in a guy for President who professes Mormonism is voting for a cult member for President. Those are just the facts for Christians. And..., of course, there are *cults* who "claim" to be Christian.
It's only by strict adherence to the Bible, the Word of God (i.e., the "God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob) that we are able to derive what Christianity is and what are its main tents (key ones that don't vary between various "Christian denominations").
There are *no Christian groups* who adhere to *extracurricular sources* (outside of the Bible, i.e., other so-called "inspired writings") -- who are Christian. They are *CULTS* -- by the Christian definition.
And so, saying it again -- they are cults.
Regards,
Star Traveler
P.S. -- for reference material (about cults, including Mormons) look at Walter Martin's classic work -- "The Kingdom of the Cults"
http://www.amazon.com/Kingdom-Cults-Walter-Martin/dp/0764228218/
There are ample Christian materials out there documenting the cult nature of the Mormons. You will not find a shortage of material -- *including* the great granddaughter of Brigham Young, too -- no less. She and her husband have made it a life-long career of documenting the cult nature of Mormonism.
And there you have it.
Leave her alone. I read your posts to her and the silly questions you posed to her. Pick on me --- if you can.
The behind the scenes chats with FAT CAT money-men have been going on for months. Political behind the scenes guys lined up and signed on.
The MSM and the Dems are doing EVERYTING in their power, which you have swallowed hook, line, AND sinker, to make you detest the ONLY person who CAN beat Hillary, in today's known GOP probable primary entrants.
Psssssssssssssssssssssssssssst.....it isn't YOUR money, that gets "wasted", unless YOU have already or plan to donate money to Rudy, which you won't, so WHY are you talking such unadulterated nonsense?
Grassroots money goes to whom the those in the "GRASSROOTS" give to! It appears that you REALLY have absolutely NO idea HOW politics works in America!
Hunter has about as much chance of wining the GOP primary as I do and I'm not going to enter it. Brownback is in the same category. Allen was NEVER ready for higher office; let alone the presidential primary. Talk about a list of NOT ready for prime time nobodies! Yeah, you are soooooooooooooo politically savvy.........NOT!
"Hard logical decisions"...that would be in agreement with yours of course. You know nothing about me but have chosen to attack me over a couple of posts, which I stand by. I will NOT condemn anyone simply due to their religious affiliation...And that includes candidates for any level of leadership positions.
"I would be electing a CIC and POTUS, not an elder in a church."
Prove it. A good Mormon would defer to the elders. Are you saying Romney isn't a good Mormon?
You guys can get mad at me, but I ask again whether you are ready for eight years of questions like mine? Trust me, they will be coming at the Presidential level.
You seem to be the one upset. Relax. Simply correcting your inaccurate post. Either you conveniently forgot his position or, you have a problem with the truth. Truth is, JR won't be crawling over broken glass to vote for McCain. You gotta problem with that, take it up with JR.
