"You are on a roll! lol"

I know, sometimes you just want to tee them up like golf balls and smack them about 300 yards. :)

Now you're Miss Cleo.

TRY looking at polls instead of posting your imaginations of perceived doom. You haven;t a clue about "others" and certainly cannot speak for them.

The primaries have yet to commence.

Other than appoint strict constructionists to the bench & use the bully pulpit to denounce abortion, Rudy can do very little about abortion.

But will he do even those things? Will he reverse the Mexico City Policy?

Finally, someone with a sensible retort.. and you are right on the money.. but I would take this one step further.. we need someone with a good military success track record and and understanding of current military technology and tactic..

I could win this war in a matter of days. The first battle would take about twenty minutes with no casualties on our side... People need to stop kidding themselves and look at the cold reality of it...

Is it Charmin? I'll wager Tancredo likes baby blue Charmin.

Even if what you say is true, and it may well be, Bush still lost the popular vote and won Florida by the narrowest of margins in a state where his brother was the fairly popular governor.

The main point is that Bush did not exactly win overwhelmingly in 2000.

The poster was trying to say that because W ran as a conservative in 2000 and won that Tancredo can win in 2008. I was trying to point out some of the circumstances in 2000 and how Bush's victory isn't exactly a model others may want to follow.

As for your comment, I disagree. Historians still vigorously debate who won the elction of 1800 and 1876 and how they unfolded. They still talk about JFK stealing votes in 1960. I think we can both agree that Florida in 2000 was an extremely close call and that it sholudn't be a plan for 2008.

Do the polls matter. No. If only 5% of base of the party bolt, which I think they will, Rino Rudy loses.

I have learned a valuable lesson from these "teach them a lesson" clowns though. Next election I'll be contributing anything and everything I can to whoever is running against Tom Terrific. I don't much give a crap what their position is on the issues, I just want to send a message.

Sounds like you're the one with issues, bud.

I do have issues, but that's another topic independent of this.

I've never experienced anywhere in the south this "Mormon-loathing" thing you're so sure of.

Consider this though: Recently--i.e.: within the past decade or so--the Southern Baptists had their National Convention in Salt Lake City, and they did this for one reason and one reason only: to thumb their nose at the Mormons.

By the way, take the time to look up the definition of "cult" sometime, too.

"okay" I think I "will".

Of course polls matter --- polls sample Independents as well and they usually decide the winner or outcome.

FYI -- the BASE always votes. It's the one issue malcontents and fringers who try to blackmail the party and stay home or vote third party.

Yeah, my agenda is my country and not a ever growing lists of complaints/carping/whining.

If you don't like the current crop of nominees, you run.

That's because until the late 1970's, Mormons officially believed that all black people were black because they were deliberately cursed by God for not supporting Jesus during Satan's rebellion. That was official doctrine until the movie
"Superfly" came out. Then Salt Lake City had a revelation and
whoosh! Doctrine changed over night.

But facts about religion can't possibly be meaningful or
drive human behaviours. No, human behaviours about religion are all driven by irrational suspicion.

Good evening.
"Hope not, anyway."

That makes me feel better. Now explain your insult, read my tagline and then tell me why we don't have alternatives to McCain, Giuliani or any other Rino.
