That does not seem to exist anymore unless you are in a very high position in the UK or earn over a certain amount certainly up to junior manager that would not be the case.
In our company it was the agreement when we did away with the union in the factory that all employees were treated the same so the term salaried unless you are very high management no longer exists. Those in high management in fact that are still salaried are expected to work a full week in fact because of their position are expected to do more than our normal hours but do not get paid any extra for doing so in other words do what it take to get the work done.
If however the non salaried worked do extra we do get paid for that but it is very rare nowadays overtime is really a thing of the past.
