I didn't make any jokes. What did you think was humorous? We are all going to die. I had a healthy neighbor get hit by a bus. I went for a smoke break. I've been on a respiratory floor (I have a ANOTHER nurse girlfriend, what can I say, I like nurses)
I smoke, but I am not some freak alarmist. I want to enjoy my time, not suffer eating bland food mixed with sawdust. I like beer & cigars.

I still say I'd rather die at 70 doing what I want than live 'till 90 doing what I hate. Time becomes God to some people.

I hear you. I realize that a lot of medical people indulge and I suppose that there is a certain amount of jadedness that comes with professional medical workers. Just by the very nature of their day to day work.
You sound like a pragmatic guy, and sometimes I do get a bit alarmist myself. My kid brother died from an illness that was probably related to his lifestyle. The particular form of Cancer that he had is generally attributed to smokers and/or certain other activities.
BTW, I like nurses too!
