We are grateful for the opportunity to expose some of the inequities in the U.S. tax laws. When we began this project, we thought we would highlight a few, mostly wellknown inequities, such as the seemingly interminable inequity between the deductibility of health insurance premiums for the self-employed versus C Corporations. Unfortunately, our investigation uncovered much more. What we found were dozens of sections of the Internal Revenue Code which, on their face, disadvantage small firms. There is little doubt that this is just the surface of the problem.
The root causes of these disparities are several.

Well worth the read ... with copious amounts of information as to why the income tax must be replaced.
By and large, that's why larger businesses tend to be more democrat and pro-big-government and small business owners are the singly most Republican demographic there is.
You are really pushing the spam envolope today. 3 articles all over 4 years old.
It's good you have a sense of humor.
"Also large companies love onerous regulatory agencies because it creates barriers to entry that make it hard for small guys to compete..."
And the liberals love the regulations because they feel good about doing something stupid.
you are a spam factory...
LOL!!! Well lookey here who's talking!
Very, very funny.

One more of the many unknowns in the present system hidden among the thousands of pages of laws and rules.
And this is the income tax that so many of its defenders on these threads fight for????
Wow!!
Amtrak should be privatized, the government does not belong in the railrod business.
Agreed.
Actually, government doesn't "belong" in ANY business.
It depends on what definition you use-- the government needs to be in the national defense "business", and they are Constitutionally chartered to operate the post office "business", and they are chartered to be in the printing and minting "business". And then there are the infrastructure businesses, like establishing roads, courts, law enforcement, etc.
We should not be in the retirement pension business, or the health insurance business, or the sports business (arenas/ballparks).
I wouldn't be surprised if we were in agreement on this issue, at least most of it. I think government is way too large.
And we do agree that government is FAR too big.
They shouldn't be in the "income tax business" either - and we'll fix that before too long. That will help lead to "ensmalling" the government overall.
Keep dreaming.
It's no "dream" at all. It'll happen. There's really little choice.

If anyone would like to be added to this ping list let me know.
