Don't even get me started on the US Congress blatantly overstepping their authority in the Terri Schiavo case. For the record, the person that was Terri Schiavo was gone many years ago. They were just letting the long-empty shell die.

The "government" won't purposefully starve and intentionally dehydrate convicted serial killers on death row.
Why, even injecting them to death with massive doses of pain killing chemicals to kill them in mere minutes is deemed "inhumane".

But it's OK for the "government" to order the forced dehydration death of one lame,helpless, brain dead woman who was never charged, much less convicted of any crime against humanity?

TampaDude, I hope you are wearing asbestos underwear so you can handle the flames coming your way. But I am on your side. Most people here haven't lived with the Shaivo case as local news (like you and I have) since the story started over 11 years ago. And I am also a big fan of the various branches of government NOT going outside of their jurisdictions. It still disturbs me that there are people who advocated a violent clash between different law enforcement agencies. That's why I could never support Gallagher and fully support Crist. I think Christ has done an excellent job as AG, too.

I think it still rubs a lot of people that Judge Greer was re-elected with 80% of the vote in Pinellas Country, even after his opponent, who relentlessly attacked him over Schiavo, and who outspent him by about 10:1. Terri was, as you said, long since gone and her husband carried out her wishes.
