He said his statements were despicable, is that not clear enough for you? Or should he have torn his garment?
I have never seen such deplorable behavior as I see from some attacking Mel Gibson who admits he has been battling alcoholism throughout his life. He apologized, and I believe him. I surely won't be casting stones anytime soon and I highly doubt all of Gibson's sanctimonious deriders will be either.

Anyway, nobody gives a damn what he's been battling. If he'd hit and killed somebody, would the victim's family care that he was "battling alcoholism"?

Let me explain this in a way you can understand...we are living in a time where people around the world are itching to kill Jews. An international celebrity says what he says...I don't give a rat's ass if he was drunk or not. He said it...it's printed all around the world. Just more fodder for the people who want me dead.

Being drunk is never an excuse for bad and dangerous behavior. Go ask all the people who ride buses everyday because their licenses were taken away because they were driving drunk. I'm so surprised people at FR would use the "HE WAS DRUNK" defense to justify this outrageous display of anti-semitism.

But on another note that people here might understand is now ALL the people who said Gibson made THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST to push his anti-semetic feelings are having one big laugh now...because THEY WERE RIGHT. And I was one Jew who defended him. But no more.
