The following is the complete text of Mel Gibson's statement regarding his arrest for investigation of driving under the influence of alcohol:
"After drinking alcohol on Thursday night, I did a number of things that were very wrong and for which I am ashamed. I drove a car when I should not have, and was stopped by the L.A. County sheriffs. The arresting officer was just doing his job and I feel fortunate that I was apprehended before I caused injury to any other person.
"I acted like a person completely out of control when I was arrested, and said things that I do not believe to be true and which are despicable. I am deeply ashamed of everything I said.
"Also, I take this opportunity to apologize to the deputies involved for my belligerent behavior. They have always been there for me in my community and indeed probably saved me from myself. I disgraced myself and my family with my behavior and for that I am truly sorry.
"I have battled the disease of alcoholism for all of my adult life and profoundly regret my horrific relapse. I apologize for any behavior unbecoming of me in my inebriated state and have already taken necessary steps to ensure my return to health."
BS, Mel. One doesn't just say things like "The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world" without believing it. Gibson's no less deranged than Bobby Fischer.
...and he needs to spend some time in the slam for drunk driving.
I wrote you a response with the four letter word that Gibson used and it was deleted.. I assumed it was you who had it deleted. If I'm mistaken...I apologize.
MY friends on the left? Yea...you got me...I'm a liberal. You're such a genius.
People were killed for helping Jews, for being homosexual, for being Gypsies, for being Catholic for being anti-Communist, for being retarded,
Nope, it wasn't me. I didn't even see that response.
Do you understand that when you lie about other posters it makes the rest of your posts look suspicious?
Jag, this pic needs to be sent to Stands2reason for laughs. That person needs to chill.
The ministry of Christ was solely to the jews, and to no one else; how can it be anti-jew?
Is he still upset? I figured it was just temporary mood last night.
I believe that the crowd spoken of there were mostly pharacees, who deeply feared losing their power and influence to Christ.
I love Mel but he acts crazy maybe you can strike the acts, and replace it with is.
Jesus of Nazareth was a Jew. Great man, great preacher, great teacher. 2,000 years after his death people still revere him and worship him. Regardless of your religious beliefs he is the most important human being who has ever lived on the history of the planet Earth. Was he the son of God? I don't know, I don't have a beard, wear a robe or sandals. I'm not smart enough to answer the question.
But you have to understand why people would "pick" on Mel Gibson. He set himself up by claiming to be self-righteous and having all of the answers. When you accept the millions of dollars peddling salvation...this is the price you pay.
I paid $7 to watch his movie.
I want my money back.
You are probably right. Not to mention the fact that he could have gotten hismelf killed and other people as well. Neirob should get a better client. I said a couple of years ago that Gibson was a bad guy and it is proving to be the case. The fact that he was inspired by some nun who had a vision of the Jews making a crucifix in the Temple (which is absolutely forbidden) shows where his heart is.
So do the kids from South Park!
But all jews were singled out. Homosexuals could try to hide their inclinations. All Jews were targeted for extinction. Period. Gibson doesn't get it and neither doees Pat Buchanan.
Gibson is just a jerk who is also now into bashing Pres. Bush. I want him to just shut up. I don't know why his wife puts up with him.
beer is a great truth serum. You want to know what people really think...get them boozed up and put them in an untenable position (getting arrested is good as an example). Then watch them spew the truth as if you injected them with sodium pentethol and tortured them.
Isnt' AA a quasi religious group? Part of the 12 steps is you have to believe that you are powerless and turn your life over to God and ask him for help.
I'm starting to think that Parker and Stone from "South Park" are more brilliant than I originally thought.
Did anyone here see the 2 episodes entitled "Bloody Mary" and the "Passion of the Jew"?
I haven't read the entire thread yet and maybe somebody mentioned it. If not, watch it. Parker and Stone are geniuses. They called it 3 years before this thread started.
Yep, when Gibson started bashing Bush and the Iraq war, he became no different in my eyes than Whoopi Goldberg or any other lefty Hollywood idiot.
