Hmmm. I was never a big fan of Prince, though I did like '1999'. FOX just reported that Prince didn't even show up til the commercial just before he went on.
I would have to say, that 1) I think he must figure he's too good to be bothered with the idols, since he didn't want to show up earlier in the year, but did show up for the finale, which he did NOT perform with any of the idols. 2) To be able to perform the way he did, showing up minutes before, is pretty impressive.

I was a little disappointed. I didn't watch season 2, so I haven't heard Clay sing anything. I kind would have liked it if they would have let him sing a second song last night. Clay was almost upstaged by the impersonator! That guy would make a pretty good double for Clay though! lol

I swear I didn't know until this morning that was Clay Aiken!!!! I must be going retarded. Just dismissed that whole segment waiting for the end, I was so nervous going back and forth to the kitchen trying to eat my supper during the show. Man, he doesn't even look like himself. What are these rumors about him being gay, are they true?

Prince is more than a little bizzare but that joker is a musical genius. He has done some absolutely incredible things in his years and has always been way ahed of his time.

BTW...did you notice that Seacrest did not mention how CLOSE it was tonight??I was thinking the same thing. In previous finals Seacrest will say something about there only being less then one percent or # specific # of votes between the two. I'm thinking it was a landslide.
