Bingo - Taylor sells himself and the song. That is easier said than done. He is excellent at it, love him or not.
To: InterceptPoint
I appreciate a good voice..but Kat is no Eva Cassidy when it comes to singing Over the Rainbow..

"Just comparing the first songs...Kat is sunk."
I think it goes back and forth from here.
She will nail her little rainbow track coming up here in a minute or two.

*clapping madly* Go Tay-Tay!! That was GREAT! He's fun to listen to and watch. What more do they want from an American Idol??
I don't know what McPhee was thinking with that first song. Very lame.

Kat would have been considered emaciated not too long ago. She's got curves, not bony like actresses and models today.
To: retrokitten
Paula says she and Taylor match. What the hell doesn't match with that dress? That's what I thought! Didn't like the jacket though. Did he borrow it from Elton John?

(Taylor--he sings, writes his own songs, plays instruments, has charisma, and he's the whole package.)
To: GraniteStateConservative
I'd rather buy the CD, and give Taylor some stats!

Yes, Chris has a great voice - we will be hearing more of him. But I thought Elliot was just cute and endearing.

McPhee is singing Somewhere Over The Freakin' Rainbow again :-/
And yes, she's sprawled on the stage again.

She will nail her little rainbow track coming up here in a minute or two. Yep. That one is her strongest song.
To: maica
Katherine seems not to be able to sell herself after she stops singing. She usually doesn't sell herself during the performance. She has a tendancy to try to smile no matter what the song is about. Except when she sings this song, she seems to get it.
