Meatloaf actually did some acting over the years. One role was in Fight Club where the name of the character was Robert Paulson. You would have to have seen to the movie to understand what I meant.

APPARENTLY MEAT LOAF HAD STAGE FRIGHT !!! CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT ! THE LEGENDARY ROCK OPERA GREAT WITH 45 MILLION IN SALES HAVING STAGE FRIGHT PERFORMING FOR ONLY 200 MILLION VIEWERS !!! UN FREAKIN' BELIEVABLE !

THIS IS THE ENTIRE ARTICLE YOU ARE REFERING TO :

Meat Loaf Says He Can't Remember 'American Idol' Performance Singer Has Huge Stage Fright

POSTED: 5:59 am PDT May 26, 2006

LOS ANGELES -- Remember Meat Loaf's performance Wednesday on "American Idol"? He doesn't.

Meat Loaf has absolutely gripping television stage fright, yet he still performed with Katharine McPhee on the finale.

He said the only thing he remembers is the television people telling him that he had less than two minutes before he went on, and then he was walking off the stage and thought he was going to pass out.

He has no memory of what happened in the middle. He admits he sat down and began to "cry like a baby" afterwards.

Meat Loaf said that he's surprised he didn't die of a heart attack.

Meanwhile, McPhee had told him during rehearsals she wasn't nervous at all, and Meat Loaf said he wishes he could be like her for five seconds.

He said he had never sung that song live before, and as he puts it, it felt like he had "an alien busting out my chest."

Taylor Hicks won the title over McPhee, capping off the show's fifth season.

Listen to the interview, and you will realize that Kat is really just a Valley Girl. aka an airhead.

I would think Simon must have been astounded at how poorly the pros did.

I just sat back and enjoyed the live drama.

Maybe next year we'll get less of aging, decling stars latching on to AI to boost record sales.

What that showed us is that just about everyone in the AI top 10 is better (and more professional) than a lot of those stars.

Also, next year I wish they would go back to the guest judge concept....part of what got me hooked last year was a fourth, often sane, person interacting with the three judges. They also provided a different viewpoint from the sometimes stale comments of the three judges.

I'm wondering if those three singing cowboys are going to audition for next year's contest. They actually sounded interesting.

The one with the guitar has a great voice, he should definitely try again... my wife said he reminded her of Josh Turner... deep voiced Country singer.

I keep thinking how much better a voice Mandisa had and how much character she has compared to Twinkee McPhee

My guy and I fell in love with Taylor in his first performance. We'd had a glum day, and he actually made us not just smile, but laugh. We replayed it and jumped around the room to the music imitating Taylor moves!!!

So, our heart was with Taylor. Every week, we voted for two people. One of us voted for Taylor, the other was the person we thought did best besides him.

Well, at the end we were thrilled SOUL PATROL reigns!!!!.. But you know what our comment was? For singing, it really should've been Elliott vs. Mandisa at the end.

But with Taylor, well, this might be the dawn of something, where all generations can get together and have fun listening to a unique and excellent singer, and be happy!

I don't recall which posters enjoyed (whispering) The Advocate recaps, but the latest one is out. While that site doesn't show any skin, I sure wouldn't want anyone prone to the vapors to click on it.

Kat's interview was BORING!!

Did you notice how reluctant Taylor was to answer the question on hot Hollywood actresses? I don't think Taylor is at all interested in ditzy Hollywood chicks. Doesn't seem to be the type he'd go for...But he did say he wasn't "into that stuff" when they mentioned Hugh Jackman!! LOL!

To the ladies out there... from Taylor's interviews in the past and even yesterday, here is what he likes in women :

1) Entertaining

2) good sense of humor

3) Can cook green turnips

4) Partial to blondes and brunettes (that makes Kat and Kellie OK I guess and women like Lucille Ball not OK ).

Then he had them roll the fil of when it was announced that Taylor won, and when Kat turned to Taylor and hugged him, they spliced in another film which showed a woman in a gold dress, from about the waist down, kneeing Taylor in the groin!

The really clever part was, they immediately cut to the real Taylor doubled over as if in pain! Soooo funny.

Kat's interview was BORING!!

Not being partial to Taylor ( since Elliott was probably my first choice next to him), but this is what makes Taylor stand out among the 12 contestants and in a way, helped his cause because Idol is not simply about singing but TOTAL PACKAGE .... he has a charming personality and makes for great guest interviewing because of his eloquence. The spot with Jay Leno was never boring ( well of course, Leno's questions were interesting too ).

I haven't see someone this interesting for a long time. The only other previous contestant(s) who were just as interesting were Constantine last season ( and maybe, Kellie this season). I think Taylor gets it from his dad.

I'm not into the dumb blonde all the time routine. Suzanne Sommers was good on Three's Company, but when she was on talk shows she was Suzanne, not Crissy.
