I was hanging in the background enjoying watching Mrs. DFU be a groupie. She had hi but they didn't have a conversation. I had about a 15-minute conversation with a guy who served on the LAPD for 20 years and now does corporate security. He was more important to me than Simon.

That was one of the weirdest things I've seen. I felt like Larry the Cable Guy. I mean "what'n the world?" Has she not heard the song? Poverty & death & she's trying to turn it into "Let's Get it On" Just Bizarre.
But Taylor handled it with class.

We talked to security when we went to AI II at Arrowhead Stadium. I think it's cool that you took your wife down there...she must think you're great.
To: Sue Perkick
Oh yeah. It was really strange. Her whole thing was strange. It was like she was trying to out crackhead Whitney.

I could see Taylor and Kat doing a Sonny and Cher type show...or even a Taylor and Kellie updated Burns and Allen thing.
Heck...I'd watch it! But I even liked that stupid Nick and Jessica Christmas Special from a few years back. Same old early 70's variety schtick!
WHOOO...GO Soul Patrol! (I'm still all hyped up!)

They just showed Clay and that guy again. How in the heck did Clay keep from cracking up during that song!!?? He either didn't come in or he stopped singing in that song (I forget which). Anyway, he missed a part of it because of that fan being there. I wished he would have just come out and sung the whole song.

I think Clay was doing a Chris Gaines When he first came out my hub and I both said "Paul Rubens??!" You know, how he looked after the "incident." Only cleaner.

Picking him to sing "Raindrops" was genious. He sounded great. I hope some great things happen for him in the future. I would buy a CD of him too. Love the tone of his voice.

Some people do purchase things based on politics or view movies based on politics, so its not that odd. It's not like he's going to Congress and doing rallies about gay marriage and such.

What really tickled me about that Toni Braxton debacle was the way Taylor jerked his hand off her hip like it had been scalded! LOL! Poor Taylor -- I think she embarrassed him. He wasn't sure just what he was grabbing onto in front of a national audience! :)

Went to Boston Conservatory, studied music, didn't know who Meatloaf is? You don't fully appreciate how young she is and how old we are. It is quite extraordinary what information doesn't make its way to each new generation.

s_j, when you get a chance, could you put me on the TAR list, too? I just started watching this past season ( I promise, no finale spoilers from me! I'll be good!) and would love to get my FRiends take on the show.

I'm listening to some of those cuts from a link to the NPR station. It's really ... smooth and you can understand what's he is singing!

Congrats on being the 10,000 poster!!!
I am still smiling about Taylors win today.
To: TonyWpi
He opened the show singing "Over the Rainbow" on the floor ala McPhee!I saw that, too. He's so great, I know his show won't last : )
On his radio show yesterday, there was an audio clip of him singing that Madonna song "La Isla Bonita" in a strange, latin lounge singer voice. It was the funniest thing I've ever heard. If anyone can find a download of that (I couldn't find it on the website), I'd be thrilled.
