How many times do you have to be told that we are not "selling" our ports?
"I have never ever seen anything like this."
I have, during the Miers fiasco. And, the amusing thing is, the old pro- camp for Miers is almost without exception the current pro- camp for this UAE deal.
Uh, the same union dockworkers who working at the ports will still be working there after DPW assumes its responsibilities.
There's a high threat of terrorist attack in London, too. Guess we should take back the partial ownership of the Alaska Pipeline from BP. Any country that is a target of terrorists is nobody we want to do business with, right?
This thread should really be moved to humor. This topic is neither hugh nor series!
Bingo! You are now officially "ahead of the curve."
okay
thanks....
I appreciate your time to explain......
the sound bites on this are just not going to be easy for us to handle.... just like the NSA....no matter what you tell morons.. they still think that the eeevil White House is spying on ever-day Americans........
cannot wait until the old CNX crowd eats their just desserts....
Since this company is in effect the UAE, what happens if the government gets toppled, and pro Osama forces are now in charge?
The other thing that really pisses me off is Dan Bartlett on tv excusing UAE for being one of the two governments recognizing the Taliban as the government in Afghanistan, and UAE still refusing to recognize Israel's right to exist.
Yes, we want these folks to be running our ports. Whatever. This issue is non-partisan. Most Americans hate this. Period. You will have 400+ members of the house who cry b.s. on this deal.
Paul, you're a wise man. Your comment goes tripple for me.
Again, there are going to be no changes in anyone who unloads anything coming into our country.
I'm fairly sure that Arabs don't own anything else in this country, aren't you?
exactly right - its the exact same people.
Wolverines!!!!!
and me too, paul ....great post!!
Arab citizens own lots of other things in this country - what are you talking about?!
spooky, huh
The left hasn't learned a damned thing from 9/11

I haven't laughed this hard in a long time. The utter absurdity of this topic boggles the mind. If we were to take the anti-UAE argument seriesly, then by extension we can't do any business with Iraq because that country has terrorists using it as a base! Does that mean the Murtha position has won the day? Hilarious!
Not yet, anyway. ;)
