Anyone watching the press conference about the accidental shooting in Texas?

What keeps McCellan from taking off his shoe and throwing it at these people?! I'd last a nanosecond in that job. They keep badgering him about the EXACT time of everything. They're pissing over a few hours!

What does Chandra have to do with this? IIRC, she never dressed up as a quail.

That is one of the three stupidest things I have ever heard from the press. Bwahahaha!Did you hear the girl at the end who asked "Would this be worse if the man had died?"

They were making it sound like Cheney was hunting his friend and shot him on purpose. LOL! Press question: "Come on now, Scott. Do you honestly expect us to believe that the vice president was hunting QUAILS and not Mr. Whittington?"

Maybe the press would want to pursue Teddy Kennedy asking the same questions about Chappequiddick??The GOP has always tried to maintain a higher standard than the Dems, and won elections because of it. How about we not apologize for our own because the other side does worse?

Yep, there's a major opportunity for a comedy routine about this incident, after the lawyer heals up.

You can't be serious.Reverse the roles. Let's say Al Gore injured someone in an accident and it wasn't reported for 24 hours. Would you have been so cavalier about that?

Yeah, they kept referring to the VP as the "shooter"...kept waiting for one of the bimbos to start saying "sniper". If the press had any shame, they would be embarrassed to watch the replay of this news conference. I know we don't give Scott the stamp of approval but look what he has to work with. And you can't tell me they have not gotten bolder with their nastiness in the last couple years - so I really can't say how Ari would do in the current atmosphere.

Frankly, I feel like peppering their behinds for acting like such frantic sissies that don't know squat about hunting.

The media treatment of this hunting accident is pathetic.
They lost the NSA issue, they lost the Alito issue, they lost the "Bush Lied" issue, they lost on the Plame issue, the war is moving along and most of the US thinks that the media is unreliable.
No wonder they're pissed, they have nothing to report and they can't manufacture a story out of this because most of the country understands that hunting accidents happen.

It means the quail drew 5 cards all in the same suit - sheesh, don't they know nuthin'? LOL!

If the press had any shame, they would be embarrassed to watch the replay of this news conference. They would have to possess a conscience before they can comprehend shame. Once again, the reporters become the story instead of reporting it.

Chandra Levy? OMG! What was that about? I missed that one!!!

IMHO, the press has totally missed the fact that Mr. Cheney's reaction may have had everyone distracted as well. The man has a history of heart problems and I know I would feel really awful if I accidentally wounded a friend.

I've actually always thought that Cheney would resign due to health by 2007. This way President Bush could put his candidate in office as a high profile on the job training candidate. I always thought Gore would have been elected in 2000 if Clinton would have resigned and Gore elevated to President in 1999. Me too.
To: dirtboy
I say it's no problem if Algore accidentally injured someone and told the press 22 hours later. That doesn't bother me at all.
