Reverse the roles. Let's say Al Gore injured someone in an accident and it wasn't reported for 24 hours. Would you have been so cavalier about that?
I say it's no problem if Algore accidentally injured someone and told the press 22 hours later. That doesn't bother me at all.
I can honestly say I wouldn't care. It makes no difference. In fact, I think it would be wise for the FAMILY of the injured person to make the announcement when he or she was ready to protect their own privacy before the vultures descend.
