That's your constructive response? "Silly"?

I am following up on your comments, seing if you can actually articulate your thoughts to follow up on them. It's called discussion. No, it's called this poster having a long habit of trying to set people up, by asking them questions (often in an intentionally "gotcha" form) in the hopes that he can find something in the answer to nitpick about in a way that he can disingenuously ridicule the respondent for. This is how he plays his favorite "I'm smarter than you idiots" ego game.

BTW, it is hilarious that you can claim not to be for or against evolution, but are only asking questions. Good joke! Fence sitters never ask anti-evo's for explanations.

The point is there is nothing that can disprove evolution -- ie common descent, natural selection of genotypically determined phenotypes over time etc...
you can claim not to be for or against evolution
I don't claim neutrality.

Fence sitters never ask anti-evo's for explanations.Excellent observation. The "I ain't got no dog in this fight, but answer me this..." crew never, ever pose their questions of creationists.

You really know how to push this guy's buttons! When an object's teetering at a point of unstable equilibrium, the slightest push will suffice.

" Is it realistically conceivable?"
Not what you asked.
"The point is there is nothing that can disprove evolution -- ie common descent, natural selection of genotypically determined phenotypes over time etc..."
Um, no. ERV sequences out of whack, fossils in widely incorrect strata. All of these things would go against the idea of common descent and evolution in general. Absolute disproof? Perhaps not; absolute falsifiability is not practical. Nobody would be able to reasonably hold onto the TOE if the above were observed though. Since none of these problems have been observed, acceptance of the TOE is the most reasonable (in fact the ONLY reasonable) action right now.
" I don't claim neutrality."
LOL Here is what you said just before:
" I have never rejected evolution or even criticized it per se or advocated creatiosim or ID."
You have tried to portray yourself as being neutral on the subject when you CLEARLY are anti-evolution. Hint: We see through you. :)

Hes having an online meltdown. I've got it bookmarked as "tallhappy losing it." Of course, to paraphrase Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart, "you can't lose a thing you never had."

I guess I tend to prefer taking one side or another. You can count me as anti-evolution, even though I don't rule it out entirely. I do doubt it, though.
BTW, how have you been? I haven't posted on one of these threads for a while!

absolute falsifiability is not practical. Ta da!!
Again, it can't be falsified. There is no alternative hypotheis.

The point is there is nothing that can disprove evolution -- ie common descent, natural selection of genotypically determined phenotypes over time etc... I know my knowledge pales in comparison to yours, but perhaps you answer a simple question for me...
Is there any other explanation for the ERV and shared pseudogene data other than common descent?
To: VadeRetro
I've got it bookmarked as "tallhappy losing it." But you see, he is just "having fun".
It must be "Internet Day" at the asylum.
