Because you asked for a conceivable example

Is it realistically conceivable?

" Is it realistically conceivable?"

Not what you asked.

"The point is there is nothing that can disprove evolution -- ie common descent, natural selection of genotypically determined phenotypes over time etc..."

Um, no. ERV sequences out of whack, fossils in widely incorrect strata. All of these things would go against the idea of common descent and evolution in general. Absolute disproof? Perhaps not; absolute falsifiability is not practical. Nobody would be able to reasonably hold onto the TOE if the above were observed though. Since none of these problems have been observed, acceptance of the TOE is the most reasonable (in fact the ONLY reasonable) action right now.

" I don't claim neutrality."

LOL Here is what you said just before:

" I have never rejected evolution or even criticized it per se or advocated creatiosim or ID."

You have tried to portray yourself as being neutral on the subject when you CLEARLY are anti-evolution. Hint: We see through you. :)
