Reading some of the negative views posted about Beth Twitty. It always amazes me how some people have no compassion. Let's hope they never have to walk in Beth's shoes. My Aunt went to her grave not knowing if her son was dead or alive. He went missing in California several years earlier. He was slightly mentally retarded. She had even hired a private detective but never did find a trace of him. No one can imagine how horrible this is unless you have to go through it.

This morning as I sat with my coffee and watched the morning news, I saw where NASAS was launching the space ship to Pluto. It will cost us taxpayers 700 million dollars! Just makes me sick to think how much more good that money could do by going to help find the lost or maybe even helping the elderly people of this country afford a better health plan so they won't have to choose between their medicine or food.

What I don't get is how can PVDS claim anything. It's not like there was a trial and he was cleared. It's not like Natalee's body was found or she was found alive. It's not like he was 'out of town' when this happened, so he has no relevance to this case. And his property was not searched and she is missing. The (in your face) Dutchman is just as rebellious as his son.

IMO, he gets to call the shots because he has blackmail info (obtained while working in the justice dept. for 15 years on a very corrupt and vice ridden island) that would be damaging to very important people in the Aruban government, and others as well.

Palladin, no matter how you feel about Dave, I think you've misjudged his motives. Notice the last line of that article..."The money will be used to help in the search for Natalee Holloway."

I don't call that "trying to cash in on his daughter's disappearance." I see it as just another way to help look for his missing daughter. I do not doubt his highest desire is to find his daughter, even if it means digging in a landfill or writing a book.

Sheba it would appear that Aruba, SO FAR, is willing to sacrifice the largest industry on their island, just to protect this OBVIOUS CRIMINAL. Not only that, they REWARD HIM ALSO??? It's SICK!! The entire place is SICK!! I wouldn't go near that Island or any Dutch territory for any amount of money. And I mean it. Seeing what has been done to Beth, Dave and families, I could not be bought.

I agree with you RGVTx. I don't doubt Dave's motives at all. He's a kind and gentle man who is looking for answers. He more than gave Aruba the benefit of the doubt for the longest time of any of them. I believe that he has every right to expose the horrific corruption that he has seen surrounding his daughter's case and the mental torture that they have been and still are being, put through. I sincerely believe he would not produce a book to profit for himself. He wants, just like Beth, to bring Natalee's body home, and put her to rest.

wondering how they could warrant doing this w/o anyone
asking questions. Thinking it would have been done on the
QT, like the (so-called) investigation. Getting his job
back wasn't enough, the stakes are high. 'Crime pays' takes

I think papa sloot will buy the book hoping he can sue Dave; and Dave hoping he will so he can get papa in court any way he can, IMO. Dave is a kind and gentle man w/extreme patience.

So I went to the Toby Keith concert tonight (which by the way was a very fun show) The song "whiskey for my men, beer for my horses" he ad libbed about finding justice something along the lines of "roundin' up in Aruba"!! it was great! My friend and I just looked at each other - so kudos for however the message is getting out there.
