So, all you guys who read and post on this thread, according to the wisdom of Aruba, you will not be interested in Dave's book. Just us women with nothing better to do all day.!!
IMO, he gets to call the shots because he has blackmail info (obtained while working in the justice dept. for 15 years on a very corrupt and vice ridden island) that would be damaging to very important people in the Aruban government, and others as well.
That's for sure. Cohen is not only an OBVIOUS LIAR I'm sure he's a DemoCRAP too!!
Great alliteration!
With all due respect, I hope Dave's book is not as long and boring as the subtitle.
Couldn't he wait a decent interval before trying to cash in on his daughter's disappearance?
I do not like that man.
Beth must have had good reason to divorce him.
There is NO doubt about it - Aruba is dead!! No tourist location could make a living with crowds like that!!
I am sure that Aruba is extremely excited about the release of this book and the information contained therein. /sarc
Palladin, no matter how you feel about Dave, I think you've misjudged his motives. Notice the last line of that article..."The money will be used to help in the search for Natalee Holloway."
I don't call that "trying to cash in on his daughter's disappearance." I see it as just another way to help look for his missing daughter. I do not doubt his highest desire is to find his daughter, even if it means digging in a landfill or writing a book.
Sheba it would appear that Aruba, SO FAR, is willing to sacrifice the largest industry on their island, just to protect this OBVIOUS CRIMINAL. Not only that, they REWARD HIM ALSO??? It's SICK!! The entire place is SICK!! I wouldn't go near that Island or any Dutch territory for any amount of money. And I mean it. Seeing what has been done to Beth, Dave and families, I could not be bought.
I agree with you RGVTx. I don't doubt Dave's motives at all. He's a kind and gentle man who is looking for answers. He more than gave Aruba the benefit of the doubt for the longest time of any of them. I believe that he has every right to expose the horrific corruption that he has seen surrounding his daughter's case and the mental torture that they have been and still are being, put through. I sincerely believe he would not produce a book to profit for himself. He wants, just like Beth, to bring Natalee's body home, and put her to rest.
Exactly - that's a given. Being in the public eye, just
wondering how they could warrant doing this w/o anyone
asking questions. Thinking it would have been done on the
QT, like the (so-called) investigation. Getting his job
back wasn't enough, the stakes are high. 'Crime pays' takes
on a whole new meaning.
And I agree w/you and RGVTx. There is NO questions when it comes to Dave's motives.
I think papa sloot will buy the book hoping he can sue Dave; and Dave hoping he will so he can get papa in court any way he can, IMO. Dave is a kind and gentle man w/extreme patience.
So true PNSN - In Aruba it seems "Crime DOES pay"!! But it looks like the price for the Island is going to be very high.
So I went to the Toby Keith concert tonight (which by the way was a very fun show) The song "whiskey for my men, beer for my horses" he ad libbed about finding justice something along the lines of "roundin' up in Aruba"!! it was great! My friend and I just looked at each other - so kudos for however the message is getting out there.
Love the empty beaches, and this is high season. Where are all the Yankees from the North East who are normally down there in droves this time of year? Aruba can eat sand for all I care.
BOYCOTT ARUBA NOW
May he sing it loud and often! Thanks for the feedback, justche.
Went to his site to leave a 'roundin' up in Aruba' thank you message but you have to sign up, so I didn't bother.
Yankees from the North East
Let's hope they stay home for the rest of the year - short attention span for most.
