Huh? What can you say indeed... Talk about unbridled chutzpah. This is one invalid analogy - both on moral as well as on factual grounds. Moses killed an Egyptian who was about to kill a Jew, so he was defending the life of an innocent person and the Bible never condemns him for that act. In contrast, Stanley "Tookie" Williams took four innocent human lives without reason. There is a yawning gap between the deed of a biblical hero and the monstrous sin of a quadruple murderer. Apparently Its too much to expect better from the NAACLP- like a regard for the truth.

from UK - this was reported on BBC 5 Radio this morning saying Tookie Williams is facing the death sentence for starting a gang called the 'Crips'. I nearly threw my shoe at the radio. Yes he did form the gang but he isn't on death row for that. No mention of the merciless murders!

Moses' "crime" was only a crime because in Egypt the life of a free Egyptian was worth more than the life of a Jewish slave - therefore killing an Egyptian, despite the fact that he was defending the innocent by doing so, was considered a crime by the Egyptians.

If, in 20th century America, Williams had killed someone who was trying to murder someone else, he most likely would not be in prison.

But in reality, Williams killed people for fun and profit - not to defend the lives of others.

My preferred method of executing Tookie is to bring him back to life four times and blow him away each time with a sawed off shotgun filled with buckshot bullets like he did to his victims. Let's see how much he likes it, that brutal monster. Lethal injection is too humane considering what he did to those poor people.

There is a difference between killing a family for personal gain and killing an overseer who is beating a slave. Also, Moses wasn’t “rehabilitated” and completely forgiven. He was not allowed to enter the Holy Land – in effect, God executed (allowed Moses to die) him before the Israelites entered.

I have never been a supporter of the death penalty. I do not rejoice at the death of another person, not even one such as this. However, comparing Williams to Moses has to be the biggest example of naked stupidity I've ever seen in my whole life. I don't know what was being smoked when that analogy was made, but it must've been very high quality.
