the aruban franchisee of this McD's is probably better off after being tossed, because the business has surely suffered drastically in recent months and will get worse.....come to think of it, now is not a good time to be opening a cheap jewelery/trinket store, either, LOL.

Aruba can dry up and shrivel, slowly.....and I'll enjoy knowing it is happening. Aruba needs to find another means of survival......the dutch freaks that rule it have finally dealt it its death blow.

It is time for aruban Arawaks to take back their island from their masters who have continued the colonialism into the 21st century. Are they still Arawak, or are they slaves and puppets of the Dutch?

Happy New Year to you as well. Sorry this is late. I have been off the computer for a few days.

Seems most all of us have the same goal...justice for Natalee. I find myself thinking about this all the time. I have a 23 year old daughter and a soon to be 20 year old son. I cannot imagine the horror Natalee's family is having to endure. I applaud their tenacity and pray they will get the answers they need.

But in communicating our ideas and opinions we often run upon those who either disagree or misunderstand. I can take the disagreements..up to a point. When it becomes personal I can give as good as I get. But in the long run I ususally chalk it up in the unimportant column and move on. I do like reading the different opinions I find here. It gives me a reason to look outside of my own little world a little bit more. I don't always find other opinions to have any more credence than mine own...but it does keep me thinking. hehe

I have not seen TexKat on the thread. She did have a post around Thanksgiving on a military thread...but nothing here. I miss her and wish she was able to return, but apparently her job has become a little more demanding.

I hope you will be sticking around. Even more I hope we will all be discussing the final chapter on this very soon. The family needs answers..and apparently so do we.

Does it make sense to replace a high traffic business with a much lower traffic business in a mall? Seems a strange business decision by the mall management.

ORANJESTAD (AAN): Recently, the American press published that Joran van der Sloot left Aruba on December 30, to go back and continue his studies in Holland, without being interrogated once again as was speculated.

DIARIO found this date a little strange, however, according to information, the flights to Holland in January are very full, so perhaps Joran was not able to find another date than the 30 of December. DIARIO called Joran’s attorney, Antonio Carlo, to find out if it was true that Joran already went back to Holland, however, we were not able to get in touch with the lawyer.

DIARIO called the van der Sloot family home, where Joran’s brother said that he already went back to Holland. DIARIO asked on what day he went back to Holland, but the brother did not want to say.

Don't you buy a round trip ticket w/a confirmed seat? I doubt his early return was because of ..the flights to Holland in January are very full. No party for him for new years in Aruba (no friends/no place to go), his temper around the household was too much to bear and he was shipped off early.

Sheba - tremendous stats huh?!!! Yup Hurricane Beth has hit Aruba. And I'm given to understand that she has "quote" gone from a size 6 to a size 0 "unquote. This is Beth's FULL TIME OCCUPATION. She WILL find the answers to where her beautiful daughter is and there WILL be HELL to pay one way or another.

What amazes me is that Aruba is willing to allow the Van der Sluts to RUIN the entire Island. Oh well!!
