Forgive me. My typo undermined my meaning. I will spell check this one.

Fascinating.

But I might monitor your posts to point out any typos you make. You know, as a public service. Because I am a helpful person.

Hey FD2003,
I do not mind being corrected, for "what is good for the goose is good for the gander." Oh Sheila!

Last night I took a ride on the Mothership and found out the true meaning of the number 19.

While you are doing your spell check, you might want to learn to spell the name of the place you wish to visit. "Arruba" ain't on the map.

How long do you think it will be before Aruba begins selling toilet paper by the sheet instead of the roll?

No matter how many Cohens they hire it won't stop the sinking of the Aruba Titanic.

Beth on Greta:

Sample of journal...hearing on June 12th, blood found in Deepak car...July 22nd...update from VDStraaten..fluid is unknown, DNA found in Deepak's car..July 25th...VDStraaten still no DNA found...July 26th...Karin Jannsen...no evidence of DNA...interrupted for breaking news....

That's all for tonight, folks. Lots of contradictions in just those few entries alone. That is just an introduction into Beth's journal. The show was interrrupted within about 2 minutes of the start of the interview. No doubt there will be much more to come from Beth's journal.

Prayers up for the West Virginia coal miners and families.

Why you have found a second typo on my part. And one that pertains to the matter at hand. *Oh My* *You done got me to the quick*

I will hoist a drink to you, RGXTx, when I am on the Aruban beach (which, thanks to you and yours is a great bargain now) and enjoying my vacation. The only reason I even thought of it was the beautiful cam-pics posted here. The only thing I like better than lovely sunsets is fairly un-populated lovely sunsets.

So please continue your work here. The fewer folk that go to Aruba (one b), the better (and less expensive) time I will have there.

You guys rock! :)

(ps: the Spell Check failed on the word "Aruban." If there is a more proper spelling of this, I would appreciate you telling me. I would not want to offend the denizens of Aruba by using the incorrect term.)

Perfect!

Fewer folks on Aruba, except for you, is a good thing all around. Don't wait for the closeout sale or you might be too late.

No wonder my reply to #2,331 wouldn't go through.

It seems my posting of the hotel empty-beach pictures brought this creature to this thread, and his stench surrounds his posts, like a wolverine, also known as a skunk bear, devil bear, carcajou, and glutton, which urinates on anything it can't eat.

The picture that was on #2,331 shows no people again today. Where are all the people that the hotels need in order to avoid bankruptcy? The pictures show that the boycott is squeezing Aruba until finally JUSTICE WILL COME DOWN FOR NATALEE.

"But let Justice roll down like waters And Righteousness like an ever-flowing stream." (Amos 5.21)

I have to say that is the strangest post deletion I have ever seen.

But that's OK -- I always have your original post as a guide.

I promise this is the last post on this thread (until Thread 20). Unless you call me back as you have done before.

I find you'all fascinating.

I tried 3 times to send an e-mail to Edison Briesen, Minister of Tourism and Transportation, addressed:

minvscs@setarnet.aw

but a notice came back each time that the e-mail was undeliverable, marked:

minvscs@setarnet.aw:
209.88.129.68 does not like recipient. Remote host said: 550 Requested action was not taken because this server doesn't handle mail for that user. Giving up on 209.88.129.68.

The minister's e-mail address came from the official Tourism Authority website, so it looks like the minister does not want any more e-mails and has deactivated his e-mail address.

It appears that people on Aruba are reading our posts here on FR. So, I am asking any Aruban's reading this letter to forward it on to Minister Briesen:

January 1, 2006

Mr. Edison Briesen,
Minister of Tourism
and Transportation,
Aruba

Dear Minister Briesen,

The unsolved tragic disappearance of the young American citizen Natalee Holloway while on vacation on Aruba has cast a cloud of doubt in my mind regarding the safety of vacationing on your island of Aruba. The doubt and fear that I have regarding travel to Aruba, as a result of Aruban law enforcement’s botching of the investigation of the tragic disappearance of Natalee Holloway, will never go away until the correct criminals have been arrested, tried
and imprisoned. There must be justice for Natalee, a fellow American citizen.

This problem of the “Holloway effect” will only grow in proportion to Aruba’s rationalizing of no arrests and no active prosecution. The “Holloway effect” is already expanding to a travel boycott by the governors of 3 states, as well as a boycott of Dutch products here in the United States.

For the safety of all traveling men, women and children of North American descent to Aruba and the Dutch Antilles, I must insist that the case of Natalee Holloway be resolved by bringing back in for interrogation the 4 main suspects, Joran Van Der Sloot, Paulus Van Der Sloot, Deepak Kalpoe and Satish Kalpoe. I also insist on the searching of the entire Van Der Sloot property, including the cistern.

Natalee’s case is not an isolated occurrence. I am also aware of the loss of Amy Bradley from a cruise ship that had just left Aruba, and the loss of Bud Larson who disappeared while walking on an Aruban beach.

As long as Natalee Holloway’s tragic disappearance is allowed to become a cold case and be swept under the rug, I will not ever trust Aruba as a vacation destination, nor will I buy Aruban or Dutch products.

Sincerely,
P.H.
Oregon, USA

My thanks to nuntukamen and Canadian Outrage because I used some of their phrases.

I've read some of your posting history and we agree on more than this one item. I laughed at some of your humor, agreed with some of your opinions, and cringed at some of your rants.

You seem to be a decent FReeper overall.
So, I ask why you feel the need to taunt other FReepers for doing what their hearts lead them to do?

I see you on other threads bashing trolls, yet you display troll-like behaviour on this thread. Why? What do you gain?

Sheba, that is beautifully written! Makes the point quite well. Aruba needs to stop the CYA spin and make an honest effort to investigate Natalee's case.

Hey Aruba, just so you know, I've booked three months this year on an American island. You can keep your sand and surf because I'll be enjoying sand, surf, and safety right here in the USA.

Mc Donald's closes restaurant in waterfront Oranjestad
Posted by Eddy: Mon Jan 02, 2006 7:27 am

The Golden "M" Leaves Oranjestad

ORANJESTAD-An ongoing dispute between the owners of Mc Donald's restaurant and Boulevard N.V. that manages Renaissance Mall was concluded in court. The judge decided that Mc Donald's must leave from Renaissance Mall before January 1st 2006.

Mc Donald's had a rent contract for their establishment at the Renaissance Mall that ended in mid 2005. Boulevard N.V. prolonged the contract for a few months in view that Mc Donald's could not find a suitable new location in Oranjestad for their fast-food restaurant. In addition Gandelman Jewellers was not ready to move in as the new tenant. Once the prolongation ended the owners of the fast-food chain did not want to leave and decided to fight their case in court.

There is no rent protection law for commercial establishments on the island. The Judge said that Mc Donald's was told in advance that the contract will no longer be prolonged and was given enough time to look for another location.

Mc Donald’s has 2 other fast-food restaurants in Palm Beach and Santa Cruz. The closure of Mc Donald’s in waterfront Oranjestad marks an end to 20 years of hamburger sales on one of the hottest commercial strips on the island.
