I thought the hard disk was already made available to the ALE.

I remember Skeeters saying he was turning the hard disk, which he held up to view, over to the FBI to provide to ALE when Dompeg requested it. Skeeters said he and Dompeg were on the 'same page' after their phone conversation.

Why it takes so long for Aruba LE to receive items that are being made available to them is a mystery to me. I think like Dave said, ALE is defensive about the tapes. They don't seem to want to investigate evidence provided by the family.

I wonder how it can be proved that Dutch NFI have not altered the tapes they were provided. The Aruban and Dutch authorities are desperate to keep this case from going forward. Too much corruption that may come out.

Greta asked Arlene a question (it must have been the one you mention) and Arlene goes, "WHAAT", seemed to hesitate and then started to answer. It was funny to hear it.

A very interesting post by 'rphillips', with the reasoning that Aruba was not telling the truth when they claimed they were in control of the investigation. Because when Beth demanded changes, she was told the investigation is being run by the Dutch, from the Hague in the Netherlands.

So it was a lie that the FBI could not be actively involved in the investigation. Because of an international agreement between law enforcement agencies, INTERPOL comes into it, and both Holland and the United States are members. INTERPOL provides for co-operation between the member nations and the free exchange of ideas, forensics, information, etc. in criminal cases.

On 11-25 the ARUBA Prosecutors office issued the following via the “Aruba Strategic Communications Task Force“ about the DUTCH forensic scientific testing results of the SKEETERS video tapes recorded statements/confessions of Current Suspect D. KALPOE:

The results of this investigation are as follows:
There are no differences between the interview with the suspect D.K. as shown in the video-cd of the private investigator and the tape provided by the FBI.

It's going to be interesting to find out who's got their hand up Arlene's skirt working her mouth making her spew such verifiable BULLSH*T. Makes one wonder for whom she has gone to her knees.

Just my personal observation and about 30 yrs. past due, but I'm not surprised. In Aruba, you get what you pay for. Unless you want to fund a search like the H/T's have, direct it yourself, hire your own detectives to act as police officers in doing an investigation, you are not likely to get much from the police other than "friendly" advice like hang around C&C's and maybe your loved one will turn up.

This morning I was listening to Wall Street Journal's radio program and someone was giving places in the Caribbean where you could still find a room for the holidays. They went through a number of different islands, # of rooms still available at what hotel (no hotel had over 25, most a dozen to less than 10) and gave the price. Last but not least was Aruba with rooms for $ 238 per nite at the hotel where Jossy owns the casino (can't remember the name of the place - down toward Eagle Beach, not one of the high-rise hotels on Palm Beach) and they have 250+ rooms available - 10 times what any other hotel in the Caribbean has! Looks to me like that unofficial boycott might be taking a bite!

Actually Sheba I heard Jamie Skeeters state that when he was reviewing the tape he picked up something he had'nt noticed before. I heard it a little differently than you did. What I heard was: "And you'd be surprised how simple it was THAT NIGHT"!! Jamie found that VERY important. How you spin that I don't know but Aruba and Harlene will try!!! Why are these people cutting off their noses to spite their faces? They are going to LOSE, in a major way in this situation.

I came in just in time to catch part of Greta's show. The panel was on and they were talking gloom and doom about the tapes. What I gathered is the Aruban's released a tape to the media, probably the VHS tape. The discussion panel was talking as if the tape does not support Skeeters claims. That Deepak does not admit to sex with Natalee. I heard part of the tape and it was difficult to understand. This does not make sense to me because Beth said she listened to the tape and Deepak does admit to sex with Natalee. Skeeters says Deepak admits it. So I think we still need to hear the whole DVD recording instead of a just a part of a VHS tape. Maybe the Aruban's manipulated the tape?
