The Mexican army has entered the United States for the first time since 1846.
A military convoy crossed the Rio Grande into Texas Thursday to bring aid to victims of Hurricane Katrina. The unit is headed for San Antonio.
The convoy is carrying water treatment plants, mobile kitchens and supplies to feed storm victims.
The 45 green vehicles will apparently be used to provide water, meals and other help for hurricane survivors from the New Orleans area.
A Mexican naval mission is sailing for New Orleans. Mexico says another convoy and another ship are ready to go.
Back in 1846, Mexican troops briefly marched into disputed territory along the border with Texas which had joined the US ten years earlier.

Typical what FreeRepublic as become. House divided. We have just lost an American city now we have armed Mexican troops in Texas. And as the Titanic sinks the band plays on.

Correct, if my property was in Val Verde, or Webb, or one of the heavily trafficked areas, I probably would care, but it's not.
Until the powers that be do something to slow down the influx, we are going to have illegal immigrants in Texas, whether they are passing through, camping out, or crammed 20 people into overpriced apartments with substandard wiring and plumbing.
They come here because people hire them. I am not one of those who hires them. I do know those who hire them. I have seen the living conditions a local developer provided for his illegals during a wet cold winter-it was 3 pieces of sheet metal. They cooked on an open fire. Their employer was so generous. I would see him buying eggs, fifty lb sacks of potatoes, masa trigo, pinto beans rice and onions at HEB.
I would hope that most people who hire them at least treat them as persons deserving of some human dignity. As for my little corner, if they want to camp/squat by my little spring that's fine by me. I assure you I've had both hunters and poachers out there who broke a lot more laws, and did a lot more trashing of things than the illegals out there have.

Check their vehicles they're probably smuggling illegals.

From what I can see they are sending foreign troops to our soil and you approve and thank them for this.
There's not enough money in Mexico to pay us what they owe us for taking care of their 15 million illegals. What a farce!

In other words, you now admit you took the test. Family values are nice, but do not qualify as an acceptable answer to the loyal American conservative values question. You did everything you could to redefine the question with your evasive and obfuscatory answer. Hence, you failed the test.
