"The warden did not say that Joran hit his mother. When the anchor questioned him the warden said no he did not hit his mother he used bad language to her."

Oh...well...my son would still be sooo dead. My husband would never allow that in this house. (but maybe it's okay when you are in 'the Big House') hehe

Again, something is rotten in Denmark.

You know it. Though I have never been able to find it again I'm almost certain that I read that pretrial publicity can be cause to throw a case out according to Dutch law. Regardless of what anyone thinks of Joran, he hasn't even been charged with anything yet.

It's hard not to believe that this wasn't orchestrated, along with the people who apparently gathered outside the court in protest of the US media. Remember the protest that was called off? Maybe they wanted to stage a better event. MSNBC was played like a fiddle...right in time for the breathless Cosby to report. VanZandt's been bragging about how he/MSNBC held back his scoop to protect the investigation...it's hard to believe after this stunt that they know the meaning of restraint.

You guys that are really cheering this media circus on need to think of the reprocussions this may bring. Let's see how it's cheered when the media finally oversteps their boundries and blows any chance of Natalee or her remains being found. They are over there pissing people off left and right, poofing out their chest with a "This is how it's done in the US" attitude. From SM:

This is not about us or how we do things in the US. All we want is for the family to have some closure and this isn't helping. Please tell me what they thought they would accomplish other than a story and a shot at Joran.

Who cares if it was the responsibility of the Warden or the responsibility of Joran or the responsibility of MSNBC. It was nothing but a look at what we got away with ploy that served no purpose whatsoever other than to fuel more fire.

I thought the same thing...the warden was paid off, to get this tossed on a technicality.

Well people as much as I cant stand that jerk JVDS, the media should not have filmed him in his jail cell, a private place not open to the public, where one has an expectation of privacy(invasion of privacy)without his written permission...One good thing, if he sues msnbc and wins then Beth can sue him and take it all back for his part in Natalee's disappearance...

You know, every evening I come in here to see what's going on with this case and every evening there is something new. You guys tells me: Are you sure I'm not watching just another Telemundo Soap Opera, only in English?

I'll be glad when this case is resolved so I can go back to living my normal life...although I've long since forgotten what that was. I don't think I've become a stranger in my home yet, except the chihuahua acts like he doesn't know me.

I doubt the video is worth seeing. Nothing important was said or seen from what I can tell. All hype, no substance.
I don't need to see or hear Joran to know his guilt.

I don't know if MSNBC was invited or if they asked for the interview. But I think it was the warden who asked them if they wanted to see a cell and who eventually led them to the area Joran was held. Maybe he didn't know better, certainly the jail has fallen under criticism in various human rights reports so maybe he was showing off. It just seems to me that MSNBC would have known a camera was off limits, particularly in an area where juveniles were detained and in a land where suspects privacy is typically guarded with only their initials released to the public.

Prison Warden:At first when Joran did not get his way he has a bad temper. He even used bad language to his mother once. The police rough him up and then handcuffed him once because Joran refused to go to court. That was when Paulus was locked up.

Now Joran is normal. He has conformed to the situation. The Judge-to-be phoned and requested special treatment for Joran.

This is interesting. Joran was bad tempered at first, now Joran is normal. Was Joran having drug withdrawals at first?

And what was the Judged-to-be (PVDS) requesting in the way of special treatment for Joran?

I think what the warden had to say to MSNBC is more interesting than whatever they got from Joran.

If anyone has jeopardized this case it is the Twitty family themselves. They have fed media with speculation and innuendo and when law enforcement doesn't bite on a hook with no bait, then they strong-arm the government and accuse them of a cover-up. Joran, his father and the Kalpoes may well be responsible for the disappearance of Natalee but it has never been up to this family to prosecute them and that is just what the family has done night after night from the day they arrived on the island. The Twittys are damn lucky this is in Aurba because if this were happening in the US you can bet they would be hit with restraining orders, gag orders, contempt of court, trespassing, and libel suits just to name a few.

I don't believe any of this about Jossy Mansur. Why would a drug and smuggling overlord, with billions of dollars in Swiss bank accounts, labor on in the lowly position of editor of the third-rate newspaper Diario??

It just doesn't add up.

"The Twittys are damn lucky this is in Aurba because if this were happening in the US you can bet they would be hit with restraining orders, gag orders, contempt of court, trespassing, and libel suits just to name a few."

such malicious and meaningless drivel.

In this country, there would have been an investigation. A timely one, too.
