Exclusive: US Representative Tom Tancredo in Response to U.S. Nuke Threat: We Could Nuke Mecca 15 July 2005: He is a no-nonsense House Representative from Colorado, a staunch critic of the federal government's lax immigration and border enforcement policies, and one who recognizes the clear and present threat posed by Islamic terrorists inside the United States. In an exclusive interview today with Pat Campbell, host of AM 540 WFLA said yesterday he would request a briefing from the Justice Department on information it has on plans revealed by WND this week for a nuclear attack on the U.S. by al-Qaeda. Responding to a question by Mr. Campbell about our possible response to such a threat, Representative Tancredo said that there are things that could be done to pre-empt a threat, and in response to an attack as well. One response would be to take out one of their holy cities with a nuclear bomb if it was clearly proven Islamic terrorists were behind such an attack. A massive conventional response, or perhaps an attack with neutron weapons would still kill a number of people. I am no pacifist...believe me. My concern is that once the nuclear genie is out of the bottle there is no guessing where that will end.
I must admit, however, the temptation to turn somewhere in the middle east to glass in retaliation is, well, alluring from a vengeance standpoint. But that is precisely why that temptation alerts my concern.
Those two examples aren't even close. Now if you decided to hunt down and kill all of Ted Bundy's extended family...

The islamic world needs to hear this kind of statement. Coddling the muslims and tip-toeing around the fact that islam IS the terrorist problem has done nothing but put us in greater danger. And if there is a nuclear attack by terrorist ANYWHERE in the world, we need to turn that whole litter box into the worlds largest sheet of glass.

Tancredo's words about our need for getting tough with terrorists and the countries (and religions) that sponsor them PROVES you are wrong about Tancredo being a Buchanan puppet. Can't you see that? You've just been discredited. When you're as deep as you are in the hole, wouldn't it be wise to stop digging? You're truly embarassing yourself.
Because martyrdom is the highest place of honor in their idea of paradise. They're not playing with a full deck of cards and you're expecting them to cower and run away if we nuke Mecca.
You can't compare this to Naziism. Hitler didn't promise eternal life. He promised a glorious nation that would rise out of economic ruin and control its own destiny. You have to be living to enjoy that fruit. The Muslims need to be dead to enjoy their "fruit", and they can't just kill themselves for no reason. The Wahabbists (read: the terrorists) believe martyrdom is the fast track to paradise and that it is their duty to die for that at any cost. (They killed Muslims in the WTC, too, so why would they care about the population of Damascus?)

The US and the UK did not deliberately target civilians. Even the infamous Dresden bombing was initially an attack on an important rail hub near the city center.

No matter your contrary protestations.
We don't have to actually nuke the site, just fuel-air bomb it. Heck, we can design a special Kabala-Buster filled with petrol and pig-fat and trundle it through Washington every 4th July. Now that's deterrence.
