We know they all three lied about where they dropped N off and what happened at that point...they said it was at the HI, and that she fell getting out of the car...since she was drunk and (probably had been doing drugs...J said N was drunk and did a lot of drugs). J said he went to help N, but she waved him off, saying she was fine.

The last he saw...in this first fairytale, backed up by the Kalpoes and by that DJ, who admitted he'd lied...N was stumbling toward the entrance and a uniformed security guard in a dark uniform (don't know if J said the man was black), was approaching her. We know for sure that they all told this story at first, and that, as Greta pointed out, J told this lie to N's parents when they knocked on his door at 3 am...before the news cycle had kicked in. Greta said the news that N hadn't made her flight home hadn't made tv or the paper, so why did J and the other two have a lie all ready to go when supposedly, they didn't need one. If they were innocent, they would have assumed N had flown home to the US and would have told the truth. Why not? They had no reason to think anything bad had happened to her.

One of the 'tells' a cop looks for when interrogating suspects, is if they change their story, or elaborate and embellish. This is in most cases, evidence of guilt. Once the original story changed, all three, and then DJ, too, were jailbait.

Another thing guilty people tend to do is blame the victim. They distance themselves from any appearance of wrongdoing. So we learn from J that N was drunk, did lots of drugs, that she came on to him, that he 'helped' her by recouping her gambling losses. J and the Kalpoe bros. all characterized J as a perfect gentleman, while N is portrayed as a drunken, probably self-drugged slut. What do we know about N's character? She wasn't anything like that. She was smeared. She had a full scholarship to the U of A and wanted to go to med school. She studied hard and her family was proud of her. What do we know about J's character? He was running wild, his father had no idea where he was at midnight. J gambled, drank, did drugs, drove without a license, and when this all blew up, blamed his mother for being away from home...he said to her, 'if she'd been home, he wouldn't have gone out'. Plus we have J's website as a clue to what makes him tick.

Greta just mentioned the news cycle deal a minute ago on Fox, that J had a lie ready to go when he shouldn't have known that N was missing. She said this was a red flag for her, as it should be to the LE.

It's a small town, and one of my friends moved next door to the killers' family. She said they were harmless, druggies, but harmless. Boy, was she ever wrong.

I was listening to Greta on
w/John Kasich subing for
BOR.

Greta's smarter than Aruba's
LE. Greta knows a red flag
when she sees it.

Thank you for the site info. And yes, hurricane season is upon us again! Lord, some people still haven't been able to afford the repairs from last year's battering in Fla.

My biggest complaint in this case is the loss of the 11 crucial days and therefore the gathering of any possible forensic evidence

Worth repeating.

"This case is already screwed up and going south by the minute"

OK..we can end our stalemate in total agreement with that statement.

The first 48 hours in any case
are most crucial.

If I recall correctly, one of the more relevant pieces of evidence that the authorities have is a text message between Joran and HIS FATHER!! That message was sent and received the FIRST night.

That makes me think that the brothers did drop him off and then later he needed his father's help. I wonder if the alleged calls to the Kalpoes were to form an alibi. They wouldn't need to know that he and his fatehr were taking care of a mess. They would just think that Joran was walking home.

The first 48 hours are crucial...

Too bad the Pinellas police did not think that after finding TS

Then why did the dad need to coach them not to say anything. Remember the kalpoos were at the vnds house when the twittys arrived. C. Croes said in his interview that depak and pvnds told jvnds not to tell them anything. The brothers are liars.

YES!!!

That's just what I've been saying all along. The Kalpoes just lied for their friend, never thinking he could have killed her, and they thought she might show up.

Now you're cooking, Rip :)

My understanding was that people from one group asked her to walk with them, but she replied that she was going to walk with the group that a little further ahead. I think she left the first group to try and catch up with the second group and that may be when she was nabbed.

I agree, it's hard to picture sharks consuming everything. You'd think shoes or bits of clothing would wash up on shore, but did the cops search it thoroughly and in time? Maybe on that side of the island the currents tend to wash stuff away and further out to sea. I can't see J and the K boys with a handy shovel in the trunk, digging a grave. They'd have to go get one, then dig the grave, quarreling all the while about getting rid of the body and the probability that they'd either be seen or heard or caught somehow. You'd think cadaver dogs would have found her.

So either she was dumped at sea, or over a cliff into the sea near where they thought sharks would take care of everything. If they had access to a boat, they'd probably have wanted to put her in a box of some sort before dumping her overboard.

Two other scenarios: She decided she wanted to swim and drowned. J was unable to save her or couldn't see her in the dark. But he wanted to help. Sadly, he walks home and says nothing until calling his pals. But in that case, why wouldn't he go for help? And surely he'd discuss this over the internet or a cellphone call to his pals. He wouldn't feel guilty, and he wouldn't make up that lie about the HI, esp. if he knew she'd drowned at the Marriot.

The other option is that drug/sex slave/prostitution fiends grabbed her as she walked back to the HI and she's not doint unspeakable things in Venezuelan brothels. This is horrible to even think about, but it leaves J as innocent, which is unlikely. So I think she's dead, probably accidentally while being raped, but then dumped somewhere J thought she'd never be found.

They just mentioned on Greta that there are witnesses. It might even be the two brothers.

I missed this, any more infor on witnesses?

If I'm not mistaken, that poster was watching a rerun version of Greta's show. That was old news, I think.

What was up w/Sheriff Dawsy and his posse when Jessica Lunsford was missing, only to discover she was being held hostage over the road?

All they had do was ask permission to look inside, they didn't do it.

If the occupants said, "NO," all Dawsy had to do was get a warrant in less than half an hour.

A "NO" is a red flag....a BIG RED FLAG.

That county has got to eat that one. For a long time to come.

"" He's blamed his mother for this mess, saying that if she'd been home, he wouldn't have gone out. And presumably, Natalee wouldn't be dead and he wouldn't be in all this trouble. It's his mother's fault. Any psychologists care to dissect Joran's mindset?""

Sometimes there's an element of truth in what crminals say. When Juran said - "Mom, it wouldn't have happened, if you were home,", he might have meant - Dad was involved and he would not have been involved if you were home.

Another thing Juran said to his Mom - "I should have taken to Natalee to a responsible adult". Possible translation - I took Natalee to Dad, who is NOT a responsible adult. I call the above coded language. You have to figure out the meaning, which might include some truth in it.

Hope this made sense. :)

Okay..hold on... I thought that PVDS called his son at a casino and then told the family and police where he was. The family and police went to the casino and he was not there. When they returned to the house they found JVDS and Deepak outside leaning against Deepak's car. I never heard that Satish was there. I thought JVDS got the call from his dad just as he and Deepak were in the parking lot if the casino and they left and went back to the house.

That's how I thought it happened.
