Ah, that perfect hindsight, and knowing now what I wish I knew then. For crying out loud, she's an 18 year old GIRL...who met a 17 year old BOY, who turned out to be a really bad guy. It's great that you know 'better', but you had to learn it some where along the way. Unfortunately her hard lesson might have cost Natalee her life. Blaming anyone but whoever did a crime and those that helped cover a crime is not the point or beneficial to anyone.

No offense, but posting from spurious websites, rehashing what Greta said or thinks, and translating Dutch rumors is not investigative work, nor is it cracking any case. It may be interesting, and fun, and a good way to let off steam from concern for Natalee and sympathy for her mom. It also feeds the cottage industry without changing a whit of what the people in power are actually doing. The argument has even been posited here that all the FNC meddling has made things worse, not better. I'm inclined to agree.

Does anyone remember anything about a (FBI - I think) agent who sat in on the interrogation of one of the suspects? He was leaving Aruba - because they wouldn't let them do anything except observe - and he said his criticism was the questioning was "too polite"?

Anyone else remember this? It's been awhile - Not sure if it was one of the 3 suspects or the 2 security guards early in the process.....

Also, I thought at the conference they were going to tell us things we didn't know. Things that would shock us, and we'd be devastated.

i am not a true crime buff, but this case caught my interest, maybe because i have a daughter the same age. there have always been true crime threads on FR, for varioud cases-- Elizabeth Smart, Laci Peterson, etc. etc. I personally never once visited those threads. These threads are for those interested in positing theories, posting different info etc. I don't think anyone here thinks they are investigating this case, but what is it to you if a bunch of freepers wants to talk about this?

Have any of the irate posters from other forums mentioned any of these 'sounter productive elements' in their posts, specifically? If so, could you re-post.

Carlos and Chalie's is owned by the same people who own Senior Frogs. We looked in the one near the pier in the Bahamas around noon time two years ago. The place was roaring at that time, and decided it was not for us.

But it can be helpful, and preventive maintenance for others, to learn something from bad events. Walking home alone in the dark at night through a bad neighborhood doesn't mean you're being blamed if something bad happens and it's pointed out you used bad judgment. Ditto here.
