I don't think it has anything to do with ego.

I think it has to do with the very strong conviction that the smears, speculations, innuendo, finger pointing at the Holloways is wrong. You may see a grey area here, but many of us don't.

I totally agree with most everything you say, except interpreting some posters comments as running down the family or Natalie.
Stating a truth as know by the information current or having an opinion ...we were not there thus we do not known what actually happened and what were the thoughts and intentions of Natalie and her reasons for her actions; or Joran. We are guessing. WE DO NOT KNOW.

Also I wonder if by your theory they dont want this "story" to hang around for any length of time and a Trial would be long and drawn out and Aruba wants it all to go away quickly I'll bet.

I know where I'd like to be pounding sand right now, but there is a Hurricane...,so no such luck.

I have NEVER EVER put Beth Holloway down, and remain totally sympathtic toward her plight, as most everyone else has done on this thread.

OTOH, I can see both sides, and will remain sympathatic toward Joran's Mother.

NOBODY knows if Joran's Mother OR father really know what happened that night. Not even Beth can say that for a fact. So pardon me if I don't condemn them to hell for telling their son to "shut up". Nothing unusual about that and under the same circumstances, I'd do the same..

Having read the 1,2,3,4,5,extended threads, there has been few posters that have done the above. They were deleted.

It has happened that comments that did not seem to do what the above words describe have been and are treated harshly, and severely ... when it was and is out of line.

The word no one has used in response is intolerant.

I'm suggesting we behave in a more Christian manner.

Last evening you remarked you were too 'sensitive' and how you have deep feelings about Natalie and her Mom, etc., Rightly so; however, why castigate others for simply having an opinion that is looking through their own eyes at the same evidence as you.?

In no way do I condone evil ... or doing nothing.

You have been committed and devoted to these threads and I thank you for all the information, links, interviews, etc., you have brought to us as well as your passion for solving the situation. Good job.

'Long and drawn out trial'? Probably not if the trial of Volkert van der Graaf, convicted murderer of Pym Fortuyn, is any indication of criminal trial procedure under Dutch law:

The trial is expected to last three days and will be held in a high security court in Amsterdam nicknamed ''the Bunker.''

The first day of hearings on Thursday will be devoted the prosecution's presentation of the case against Van der Graaf.

On the second day, Monday, March 31, the judges will hear the conclusions of psychiatric tests done on Van der G.

The third and last day, Tuesday, April 1, will see the prosecution closing argument and the presentation of the defence case. The verdict is expected in mid-April.

As expected, the trial lasted 3 days.

I am having my last word with you on this.

I have condemned no one to hell.

I have said, and continue to say, that my sympathy is with the Holloways. And the Sloots brought up a son who was out of control, had a short fuse, was allowed to drink, gamble, sneak out, etc. And he was the last person to see her alive. And he has lied, his parents have told him not to talk, his father is a weak failed man and his mother, I don't know about her.

But to say I have condemned anyone to hell is not true. I have little sympathy for them as they are alive, lying and continuing to exist. And Natalee does not.

If you can see both sides, fine with me. But I do not and do not appreciate being lectured about it.

And I will not sit still when people start the blame the Holloways. And I reserve my sympathy for those who elicit it. Not for the Sloots. They are on their own.

As if any of our sympathy matters. But smearing a young woman, and bringing pain to her parents does. And the Sloots have done that and now their sympathisers and minions are doing the same thing.

I am not going to respond to anything else on this subject.

The reasons for Natalee's actions? What actions? Going out her last night w/her classmates. Her intentions of going back to the HI? Her intentions of getting on the plane to go home? I think we DO know her intentions but they were snuffed out by evil. You know the 'evil that doesn't look like evil".

IMHO, Evil has TOO much freedom - and because of that, Natalee does not have freedom now and neither does her parents. Their voice is what evil wants to squash. You know, "that evil that doesn't look like evil" to some.

I didn't call it anything because I didn't get past the first sentence. I tend to gloss right over LONG posts by rippersnapper.

I merely bumped palladin's post and cj's because I correctly figured that they had both read the lengthy posting.

*My person sympathies lie with the Holloway's and Twitty's. The VDS's are enablers (a psychobabble term). Since we're all accustomed to putting ourselves in the shoes of the main parties, I might add, that were I JVDS's mother, I'd have the truth out of him no matter what. AND, I'd make him tell the same to the police, no matter what.

The behavior of the VDS's has been dispicable. I recall sort of praising them for talking with Beth and Greta for 90 minutes, but that was BEFORE I learned about PVDS's admonition (sage advice) to the boys.

Yes it is like running into a brick wall. Now you have a bird's eye view of what Natalee's parents are going through - except their's is a reality - not cyberspace.

There is one "right" way to look at this situation and it is their view only. Everything else is attacked


What other 'right' way do you have to share with the Holloway's in their daily search for truth? Tell the divers who are 'digging' for any truthfully answer for Natalee's parents, who are taking risks, who gave up their own vacation or salary to search for truth.

What other 'right' should they listen to. Dig up some dirt on Natalee instead - what her intentions/thoughts were that night - since you so proudly stated we DON"T KNOW WHAT they were?


We were not there - WE KNOW that. So give space to The Holloways - there are there now, they are experiencing a 'brick wall' and it is their daughter. You are either behind them 100% or you are not. Or is what I am saying ..(your own quote)... making them 'wrong' in some way, to their mind and that is forbidden


And Beth has had strength and courage to have come this far and I might add PATIENCE.....while facing the brick wall of lies and deceit.
