Terri Schiavo's husband buried her cremated remains in a Clearwater cemetery Monday, inscribing on her bronze grave marker that ``I kept my promise.''
David Gibbs, an attorney for the woman's parents, Bob and Mary Schindler, said inscribing the marker that way was a nasty political statement by Michael Schiavo, who held the service and burial Monday before telling her family.
``Obviously, that's a real shot and another unkind act toward a grieving mom and dad,'' Gibbs said.
After earlier announcing plans to bury his wife's ashes in their native Pennsylvania, Michael Schiavo instead interred them at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park in Clearwater, near Tampa, his attorney, George Felos, said in a short news release Monday.

Your post says it all. Thank you..
World headquarters.
You know I was thinking about that last night as I was dealing with the nasty gravemarker. Terri needs a memorial.!! Is there anyone close to the family that could start a fund raising campaign to offset this horrible gravestone? MS needs to realize that this is not going to be the legacy of Terri!!!Once many Americans started visiting Terri's REAL GRAVE and paying tribute to a brave " soldier", then and only then would MS realize that his cruddy ol' efforts at stabbing the family would be in vain.
You're a real tough guy, huh?
Bingo. If you ever run for Judge, I'll vote for you.
Ask this question in 5 years, after his new wifey has her own "little accident"...
Get back with us when she's 17, OK?
I said you don't accuse someone without a basis. Apparently, you think that is just hunky-dory. Which makes sense, because you do it on here so easily.
Get back to me when you have a supportable position.
She is dead isn't she?
Hmmmm... Are you trying to say that the fact she is dead is 'proof' that Michael did something in 1990 to put her in a brain-damaged state?
The inscription is Michael's own confession that he is as cold-hearted as people have said he is.
Psychiatrists must be having a field-day, interpreting his personality through the words he has [semi-permanently] put on exhibit, for all the world to see.
He's also proven he lied when he said he wanted to move on with his life.
Listen to yourself. Michael is as much a child of God as Terri was. God knows what's in his heart. God is the Judge of this situation. And the chance you are taking is that GOD will Judge YOU and others for crucifying and engaging in a witch hunt to destroy this man.
So maybe all of you should fear God's wrath for bearing false witness against another child of God? Sin is sin, after all. But it's not just false witness, you are attempting (non stop) to destroy his life. You think God is pleased with that? Hardly. "Vengeance is Mine" saith the Lord.
I'm sorry for all of you.
sw
It's only false witness if they say they saw him do it.
The PO-lice can't charge someone with murder until after the conviction, right?
If, in your heart, you know someone has motive, opportunity, and means to commit a crime, and the crime was committed, unless you have proof you wouldn't turn them in?
IOW, you would cheerfully bear false witness BY OMMISSION, to allow someone to get away with murdering your daughter?
God bless her and keep her safe.
You aren't seriously gonna take the position that it is acceptable to accuse Michael of beating or strangling Terri into a brain-damaged condition without a shred of proof that he did so - are you?
Only in the fevered imagination of conspiracy theorists.
Tell us, what crime was committed here? Tell us a single piece of evidence that ANYONE committed a crime on Terri that led to her collapse - much less MS.
Oh, that's right. You can't, because there isn't any.
