I don't know if you work in the medical field but I do. I am a medical technologist. Measuring potassium levels and trying to determine why they are high or low, especially what we call critical levels, is a large part of my job.

A young woman who is not bulemic or otherwise known to suffer from any condition which would be relevant, should not suddenly collapse from hypokalemia.

Insulin injections are one excellent way to make this happen, with no later ability to prove the cause.

and most forms of insulin are accordingly available over the counter in the United States..."

You mean I can walk up to the Walgreen's counter and ask for insulin and the pharmacist will give it to me, sans prescription?

I don't think that's true, MarMema.

Regardless, it has been adequately established that the two nurses were not reliable witnesses, since their observations were never tested under oath.

The shoes don't fit, as a matter of fact, but that hasn't stopped you from making accusations. So I'm asking, of whom specifically do you speak when you say they are not against abortion or would want Michael Schiavo for a son-in-law (which, frankly, is one of the more bizarre and irrelevant allegations to have been made on this thread)?

Try not to continue to make yourself look like such a complete A$$.

Name calling? I could have said the same thing to you and worse, but I have not been calling anyone names in this thread, not even you, even before the Admin Moderator warned against it. Your posts are truly devolving as this thread continues. You need to get a grip.

...The fact is that she was executed by court order...

Her brain weighed 6 grams. You are suggesting she was aware.

If someone were about to dehydrate you to death, would you cry out in horror, "I want to die"?

Indeed some knew exactly what she meant. Sometimes people just believe what they want to believe. She was horrified at what happened.

No matter what your opinions, the events surrounding the event stated it loudly. She was horrified and tried to cry out in protest. It is good you brought this up.

The laws of this country give ME the right to decide how and if I want to die at the end of my life or an illness.

Not you.

I'm "down" with that.

Given his/her tagline, it is humorous to watch.

That's because Terri didn't have a heart attack. She had cardiac arrest. This was testified to under oath by several doctors who attended to her in the hospital the night she was admitted.

As to bulimia, I suppose the doctors who were sued and LOST would be interested to know they made a cash payout for nothing.

Terri was blind in one eye and had partial vision in the other eye. The ME's couldn't give her an eye exam, could they?

Wouldn't you be afraid on your deathbed?????

Why should one be, if one has faith?

It is tragic, truly sad and tragic. But when the people of this country put all of the power of the United States into a handful of judges with an agenda- be have no one to blame but ourselves.

The people who represent the citizens of the United States of America voiced a different opinion

The same people who took the idiotic action of subpoenaing a vegetative patient to appear to testify?

She didn't have enough "brain" to have emotions or know what was happening to her, fv.

I laugh at you.

You think I want someone dead. Foolish girl.

We spend $80,000 a year for 12 years now, keeping my brain damaged father in this world. But even in his own extreme limited capacity, he is 100% better than Terri.

You don't care about anyone else's sufferings or cross to bear, ONLY TERRI. We don't get back one red cent for my Father's care either. Not that you give a damn.
