This is news/activism. Terri Schindler Schiavo is still in the headlines. The death lobby shouldn't kid themselves. We are not going to forget...
LIVE THREAD of Terri Schiavo Autopsy Press Conference. It begins at 11:00 pm est from Clearwater, Florida at the Medical Examiner's Office right down the road from where Terri was starved & dehydrated to death.
The ME will have to address that hmmmmmmmm?
John Throgmartin, ME, here he goes. Dr. Steven Nelson joins him. HERE WE GO.
Because she couldn't; and the laws of the State of Florida cover that situation, too.
If you don't like the laws, change them. But they are what they are. No need to call people who uphold the laws murderers and Nazis.
Your an idiot Hildy! You have no idea what you are talking about! When I was in my early 20's I was very overweight and been dating this really bad guy. When he cheated on me and left me for another girl my heart was shattered as back than I thought I was in love. After the break up I decided to get my life together, make changes, and so I did. I got on Phen, Phen(which is no illegal) and I lost over 50 lbs. After I got off the drugs i maintained the new life i had wanted and got thinner over time, ate better and felt great. Many gals in their teens, and 20's do this. They want a different life, and they go out and do it. There is no proof that Terri had an eating disorder, and just because she had gotten in shape doesn't mean she had one. If all gals like Terri were said to have eating disorders there sure would be a lot of bulemic's out there!
Your pathologist specifically said there was no evidence of myocardial infarction (heart attack) ...dispose of that notion.
Yes, you are! Yes, you are! Don't you see, you HAVE to be "pro death" to make HER feel morally superior to you!
Cause of death: Hearsay.
"Calling someone with a differing opinion part of the "Death to Terri crowd" is kinda hateful, also."
It is, especially since many of us in the so called "Death to Terri" crowd are just people who think it is unbeleivably cruel and sadistic to keep somebody alive languishing in that state for 15 YEARS! We put ourselves in her shoes, and realize how disgusted and horrified we'd be by the thought of ever being used the way she is being used and exploited.
Letting her go was the right thing to do. You can go on and on about motives all day long, but chances are you won't find "pro death" as one of them. A lot of it is more like "What would I want if I was in her shoes?"
If you really are religious (as I am), and beleive in a soul and an afterlife, then you should be comfortable letting her go instead of languishing for 15 years in bed soiling herself and plastering her poor face all over the TV. If you can't, maybe you've got something else going on in your mind. What? I have no idea.
I realize that the "keep-her-alive-at-all-cost" folks, well, most of them, probably had sincere intentions and wanted the best for her. That doesn't make what they did right.
And the intellectual dishonesty and utter and complete speration from reality, well that is an even worse peoblem, and really showed on this issue. And Yes, it WILL cost the Republicans politically in the next election. People are alot smarter than you think. Personally, I could care less about the politics of it, I'm just sayin'.
So now having an autopsy report should make us feel better?
To all of those who are so hard-hearted - to stand by and allow a child of God to die this way and do nothing - I have pity on your soul.
I pray that this will never happen to a child of yours.
hmmmm....now are you saying her feeding tube was removed b/c she was "blind"???
Exactly, yellow. It's never OK to deliberately starve someone to death. Allowing a person to die (which is controversialk in itself) is one thing, deliberately causing or ordering her death is something else again. And that is what these folks REFUSE to understand.
I guess, geesh
In case you haven't noticed, more and more people aren't intimidated by the constant trashing people take who don't agree with the official "self-righteous religous nutjobs trying to save freakin' vegetable" line they have been getting for months.
No. It's OK to be proud. There's been post after post about the political connections between the doctor doing the autopsy and the Greer gang.
Personally, I expected nothing but a clean autopsy rather than an attempted murder discovery. Imagine the future of all those involved in this case if the autopsy declared the state murdered an innocent woman! It would never happen. Someone else would end up dead.
Get over your self righteousness, my friend. You have nothing to brag about. Everyone knows OJ killed his wife. Everyone knows Jackson is a homosexual pedophile, and everyone knows Terri was murdered. It's just one of those things. People aren't stupid.
Someone (Hildy) was making a big deal out of the blindness - as if it's okay to get rid of blind people, like they're not human.
Gee Spiff, there's a creavtive reply.
What exactly is the point of a cemetary? To bury the remains of the dead, right?
Why?
Are we saying that without a cemetary burial, or a fancy grave marker, the loved ones of the deceased are incapable of memorializing them?
Nothing is stopping the Schindlers from going out and investing in a beautiful plot of land, and plopping a giant Marble/Granite Gravestone smack in the middle of it.
Nothing.
I think if people are on life support (and in this case, the feeding tube was considered life support) and it was proven in a court of law that this was the wish of the patient (and it was proven (whether you agree or not), then the accepted legal manner of ending the body's life should be incorporated, which it was. Personally, I think it would be better done with drugs...making it quicker and easier...but your side won't let that happen either. So you've set up this straw dog of the evil dehydration.
And still no takers.
You are correct -- the Nazi's euthanasia enthusiasts where not in the same league of propaganda as the SunCoastians and the Flordia Bar.
I AGREE!! No matter if Terri was PVS, had an eating disorder, or if her HINO had never laid a hand on her SHE was put down like a dog. She was murdered because she was handicapped! I don't care if all the evindance in the world proves to me all what i believe to be lies, the fact is we are killing newborns with defects, people with defects, and the eldery, and we are calling it mercy! May God have mercy on us all for doing this!
Even if? She did. But just ignore that part.
I would be on the side of those who say no, it is wrong to kill a woman like that by dehydration.
You're entitled to your opinion, just like the rest of us are; but people all over this country are doing just that, as we type.
And it is THEIR choice, made by them and their guardians or families. Not anybody else's.
