This is news/activism. Terri Schindler Schiavo is still in the headlines. The death lobby shouldn't kid themselves. We are not going to forget...
LIVE THREAD of Terri Schiavo Autopsy Press Conference. It begins at 11:00 pm est from Clearwater, Florida at the Medical Examiner's Office right down the road from where Terri was starved & dehydrated to death.
The ME will have to address that hmmmmmmmm?
John Throgmartin, ME, here he goes. Dr. Steven Nelson joins him. HERE WE GO.
I might have some pretty strong words for those who let me die from thirst and hunger for their convenience.
I am not pro death.
"I've only seen hate-filled language from the death to Terri crowd."
So now logic and common sense is "hate"...
Where have I heard that before? Oh yeah.. the far left. Ironic.
Um, the cause that is undetermined is the cause of her collapse.
Judge shopping and litigating death as per the ACLU, ERGO, the Partnership for End of Life Choices, Atheists of Fla, Fla. Right to Die, the National Trial Lawyers who have given Senator Jim King a whopping sum. WHOPPING.
I am against judicial homicide and everything that comes with it.
We heard reports of what happens in starvation/dehydration cases to the eyes. We also heard reports that Terri's eyes were bleeding due to the dehydration of them.
Terri met Michael Schiavo in 1982 in a sociology class at Bucks County Community College in Newtown, where they were both students. After dating for five months, the couple got engaged and were married on November 10, 1984. The couple moved to St. Petersburg, Florida in April 1986. Bob and Mary Schindler, Terri Schiavo's parents, also moved to St. Petersburg three months later. In Florida, Schiavo worked as an insurance-claims clerk for the Prudential insurance company and her husband was a restaurant manager. Terri Schiavo's friends began to have suspicions about her eating habits. After meals out, she would immediately excuse herself to go to the bathroom. Michael Schiavo was aware of her strange eating patterns but did not realize their potential danger.
In 1989, the Schiavos began visiting an obstetrician and receiving fertility services and counseling in the hopes of having a child. At this time, Terri Schiavo's weight had dropped to 110 pounds and she had stopped menstruating. However, the physician who examined Terri Schiavo did not take a complete medical history, which would have indicated an eating disorder.
YOU DON'T GO FROM WEIGHING 250 TO WEIGHING 110, lOSING YOUR MENSTRUAL CYCLE WITHOUT HAVING AN EATING DISORDER. Why is it so hard for everyone here to accept the obvious? We can argue about what happened after, but to discount the eating disorder makes the rest of your argument look manufactured as well.
Being ignored is a painful thing, isn't it?
Sorry, but no, Howlin.
Even if she had lived an idyllic life with a loving husband who provided her with all the sweet joys of married life, and suddenly became as she was, and was then afforded all the rehabilitative care due any human being, I would be on the side of those who say no, it is wrong to kill a woman like that by dehydration.
Abuse makes a compelling cae but it is compelling enough without it.
They tried, but some still got the axe!
Whoops, I meant to ping floriduh voter, not floridavoter. Sorry about that.
who is laughing off the death of terri? I havent seen anyone here doing that.
Pinellas County is likely the most corrupt County in the U.S. I'll stand by that statement.
Excellent post and accurately describes the pro-death people on this thread.....
You do nothing but try to incite fights. NOT one poster here today is PRO-DEATH. Now, why don't you go away and have a nice day until you are able to add to a discussion, in place of smarmy attacks?
I actually cut off my monthly donor thing because of the stupid 100 threads-a-day Schiavo threads. I almost unsubscribed because of them. And I have been here since '97.
FIFTEEN YEARS lying in bed, and the religeous nutjobs wanted more.
I actually remember when conservatives believed in the sanctity of marriage and the rule of law.
I may be on empty, but I see you are running full speed ahead.
"What next, dry cleaners bag over her head?
Now you are cooking. Good to see you came up with a possibility.
Names like "Nazi"?
The laws of the state of Florida gave her guardian the right to make the decision.
