The fact is the first gun control laws were in the South.

Thus, the myth that the South is a baston of freedom is just that, a myth.

The South only recently (after having to give up Jim Crow) has become Republican not Democratic and thus, has become freedom oriented.

Kennesaw has nothing to do with the issue of the first gun control laws, or the fact that the post Civil War South, restricted Blacks from being armed.

according to Sarah Brady & the "gun control crowd", the FIRST gun-control laws were passed in New England & NY state in the EARLY 1800s "to protect the population from armed criminals".
