can we really be proud of this country that kills 1.3 million of its most innocent citizens every year through abortion ?

Most of my friends have died through som emisfortune or another.
Makes me loathe to make new friends actually.
I'd rather not open the paper again and find out the reason I couldn't get a hold of someone was because they were dead.
(Happened at least once.)
And a couple others committed suicide.
Out of that group, there is one left, and he's trying heard to destroy himself.
I no longer hang out with him.

No problem.
Glad to lend my support.
I have a close friend, who I haven't seen in about a year, who enlisted in the army approximately two years ago.
My thoughts are with him, and all of the others stationed in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere around our nation and world.

And you are pinging me to your story because? I'm glad you had a good trip. I hope you realize how much America did for Europe before and even now. Few on this site mean ALL French or All Germans or All anything. They usually mean the Government of the given country they address.
I've been to Paris and it sucks. The rest of France is another story.
Have a good day.

I treat kids like adults. Except I do exercise my authority if necessary. Kids like to be treated like adults and kids like to know the rules. One of my older neighbors told me one day how he was tired of so and so's kid walking through his yard. I asked "Have you told the kid calmly that you don't like it?" He said no, I said try it. He did it worked and now he understands that kids of today are not bad, they just don't on average get much guidance. Lack of adult supervision is ruining kids.

On that note, I have a story to share.
My friend Billy, on his first trip out of the country, was informed that on his way to Yemen, he would have to fly into Charles DeGaulle airport.
At which point, he asked if bail money had been included in the per diem, because, and I quote, "If you send my ass to France, I will fight somebody before I switch planes"
They promptly re-routed him to Brussels, and nothing else was said.
Billy does not care for the French, AT ALL.

That has always seemed to work for me, as well, CG.
That, and being able to relate to them on their level.
Maybe that's why my kids turned out the way they did.
Well, that, and the Grace of God.

Nothing to be sorry about, it's just one of those dealings from the hand of fate that makes one reassess their place in life.
