Regarding the Internet rumors, no member of Freeman's staff made any derogatory or discriminating comments towards Jenna or Barbara Bush. We are a non-partisan establishment and pride ourselves on having a diverse clientele. The Bush twins or any member of the first family are welcome to join us for dinner anytime.
Wow, the idle rich can't get a seat in a plush restaraunt.
It's a Constitutional crisis.
A cream-cheese and raisin tortilla?
LOL
Go up to the maitre 'd and request a table and while he's checking to see if one availible loudly proclaim "IS THAT A ROACH RUNNING ACROSS THE FLOOR... Ohh MY GOSH IT IS"
I don't believe it. Even a liberal can't be so stupid to jeopardize his/her business that way. But then again, liberals aren't that smart.
Point?
What is someone reported finding a roach or rodent hair in their food at Freemans...hint, hint, hint
"A lot of you just don't get it.
The Bush twins are desperately trying to be cool. This is why Jenna interned at a Hollywood management firm, partied with Ashton Kutcher, and they both hit the hippest places in Manhattan several times a year: Bungalow 8, Suite 16, Carbon, the list goes on and on...
As most of these places cater to liberals, it is well within expectation that they would get denied at some point.
I'm sure they've brushed it off - and will try another place tonight or tomorrow.
Probably En. They so do love it here..."
Welcome to FR temporarily_drawn_in since Nov. 20, 2004.
So are we to assume you're just temporarily here?
mgr said the bush girl's friends entered the restaurant to inquire for a table, not the girls themselves.
So the offensive remarks were said to the friends, not to Jenna and Barbara?
I can't believe this thread now has over 330 replies. :)
I can't believe any restaurant manager would be so stupid. It would be great to find out who the money is behind this restaurant.
Too harsh maybe, but they overwhelmingly voted Kerry didn't they? If this story is false, I will retract this statement.
BTW, we gave a lot of money to the Red Cross for the families of 9/11 ; money we really couldn't afford to give, but did anyways. So, what did you do?
I'VE BEEN DUPED !!!!!!!!!
The restaurant just called my cell phone (that's the # i left with them) about my "reservation" tomorrow and said they "have a party coming in tomorrow night" (whatever the hell that means) but i can still save reservation if i leave them a credit card number.
THEY ARE ONTO US :(
This story stinks like 3 day-old fish.
Any resaurateur in Manhattan would give his right arm to have the glamorous Bush girls stop in for a meal and a drink.
Think of the free publicity--worth thousands!
If the manager did diss the Glam Girls, he should be fired on the spot for sheer stupidity.
And NOBODY buys rounds in NYC restaurants--at least not since Jackie Gleason died.
I guess you haven't been in NYC since that time, because that is not true.
Witnessed the bartender in a pub in that area buy a round last night.
So true...
I heard a story in which they tried to get into the Gaslight Lounge one night, but the guard wouldn't let them in because it was too crowded.
And why are you temporarily here?
Nope, it doesn't. Sounds much more like the sour-grapes wishful thinking of yet another deranged Dem.
apparently none of us here were there. and i wouldnt bet my life.. but anyone who would have heard our conversation would know as i do that the mgrs lips said no but his eyes said yes. he really didnt try to hide it.. we both spoke of the incident as if it were in fact true. i cant relate all the back and forth and wiggles and intonations of the conversation. that would be complicated beyond my writing skills so i dont mind if some doubt my conclusion.
but if you cant believe my judgment ask this: the mgr told me, as many on this thread reported, at first they were only responding to calls with a "no comment". "no comment" isnt an appropriate answer to a question regarding something that didnt happen. if someone asked me if i were an accomplice of o.j. simpson the night he killed his wife i sure wouldnt say "no comment", lol. perhaps the "no comment" was the default before the manager called the owner and was instructed to deny they rudeness occured. but that is just my speculation
.
This better not be true.
