According to Harvey Levin ("Celebrity Justice") from sources connected with both sides in Eagle, Colorado:
1) Kobe accepts a plea bargain for a non-sex crime misdemeanor such as Third-Degree assault. (misdemeanor, Kobe might get probation, wouldn't have to register as sex offender).
2) Kobe settles the civil case. Pays a financial settlement. Gives letter of apology saying, "that even though Kobe Bryant belived that he was doing nothing wrong, that she felt she had been assaulted in the hotel room, and for that he was sorry."
No plea deals struck, but parties talking about it.

No more unamerican than the majority of this country that thinks OJ killed his wife, despite being found not guilty.
I can say that a 'Crip or a 'Blood' or a 'Hells Angel' or a 'Mafioso' or a 'Pro Basketball Player' is guilty just by membership in that organization without being in any way anti american. I will admit I can't do it and be a whiney do-gooder liberal, but thten I don't want to be.

Did you even read my first post -- the one where everyone started to attack me for?
I was quoting a friend who worked at a Rape Crisis Center and was explaining that many woman have sex after being raped -- it is not unusual.
That was a fact but someone who has knowledge in that field and based upon many women coming to the center that she herself interviews.
Then note the insults to my comment.
What did they say? Or have they said it yet?
Did what?
Catherine Crier gave us a "teaser". She said "later on will be telling us why Kobe Bryants accuser may be close to backing out".
Stay tuned.

So that's ONE erroneous assumption we've put to rest.
I prefer to wait until the facts come out in a case, in a courtroom, before picking sides. Unlike others, I suppose, who don't let those pesky facts get in the way of their unwavering opinions.
Actually that wasn't your first post, this was:
Why? He raped her.
And then you trashed ME with your next post:
Re Howlin's comment: He knew LAST OCTOBER that there was another man involved AFTER the fact.
Well, it is obvious that Howlin doesn't know much about rape and how women act after being raped. My friend runs a woman's shelter and gives many training sessions to police officers in North Carolina. One of her techniques is to pick an officer and have him leave the room. They she explains that many women have a reaction to rape that many men don't understand and that she plans to demonstrate as an example of NOT JUDGING THE WOMAN INCORRECTLY. She then proceeds to flirt with and place her hands on the policeman's arms and rubs them while telling him what happened and also crying. The unsuspecting policeman almost always freaks out about it and in discussion afterwards tells her that he didn't believe she was really raped.
The truth is that a large percentage of woman use sex as a type of comfort to bring back some normalcy in their minds after being raped. It is more common that most people think. In fact, last night O'Reilly had a rape counselor on that same almost the same thing.
And NOBODY had posted to you, period. You drew first blood so try not to be such a victim.
After seeing The Village this past weekend, I was thinking that maybe they could refer to each other as "The Person I No Longer Post To".
That's a pretty general indictment....OJ woke me up, though...Scott Peterson receives mushy mail...women marry murderers in prison for life,...
It is unfair and insulting to accuse a defender, believer in the accused's innocence, however during a trial of being a "groupie" type who admires a rapist, murder suspect....but I agree there are definitely people who make idols out of a Bill Clinton, "bad boy" types. Rap really glorifies violence., Convicted violent criminals do have fans and admirers.

What is he talking about? The only thing that the judge allowed is the 72 hours around the incident.
The only message Kobe will send is how foolish he is not to have settled. I don't know, maybe he is a gambler at heart and likes to play russian roulette. If you like the man just a little bit, don't wish that on him. People are running scared, they're even calling Al Rentel the radio talk show and urging him to use his influence to tell the Da to drop the case....so sad
What are you talking about?

I will admit I can't do it and be a whiney do-gooder liberal, but thten I don't want to be.

No you are exactly a whiney liberal do gooder. You want group assignments. Whether it is special rights by association for homosexuals or guilt by association for athletes, it is the same thing. You have taken the liberal line and run with it. But then you liberals are typically UnAmerican.
Crier thinks SHE will back off the charges.

I would file defamation of character lawsuit against the chick.
Baloney...Kobe is not suing anyone. He'll count himself lucky to just get out of this one...
You are not following proper protocol when you discuss another poster without pinging the poster you are discussing..
It is not right to say "don't post to me" and then discuss and insult the same poster.Personal attacks are not OK..Attacking and discussing opinions and facts are OK. Have a source to cite when arguing facts....
No more unamerican than the majority of this country that thinks OJ killed his wife, despite being found not guilty.

It is NOT UnAmerican to think the jury made a wrong decision in the OJ case if you think he did it BASED ON THE EVIDENCE. It is UnAmerican in this case to prejudge Mr. Bryant because of how he makes his living.
