According to Harvey Levin ("Celebrity Justice") from sources connected with both sides in Eagle, Colorado:
1) Kobe accepts a plea bargain for a non-sex crime misdemeanor such as Third-Degree assault. (misdemeanor, Kobe might get probation, wouldn't have to register as sex offender).
2) Kobe settles the civil case. Pays a financial settlement. Gives letter of apology saying, "that even though Kobe Bryant belived that he was doing nothing wrong, that she felt she had been assaulted in the hotel room, and for that he was sorry."
No plea deals struck, but parties talking about it.
It simply cannot be done in Colorado, according to what I have read.
This comment is the typical insulting type of Howlin:
You really have major issues with men, don't you?
When she cannot convince you with so-called facts, she insults you.
If I were you I would continue to post to whomever it is relevant but ignor the do not post to me posts. It is a poor sport trying to throw the discussion off track.
You you should try listening (Web listening) for a change. You are so set in your opinion that you'd never admit it even if it a point was valid. That's why it is pointless to continue any dialogue.
Look in the mirror, buddy. You yourself have been insulting the posters on this board. Chill.
Do not post to me.
We dont want to eat our own around here, we've got libs to defeat in nov.
The facts speak for themselves...
Chill yourself.
The people over at Court TV who have the actual statute from Colorado say there is no way he can bargin out of it. They are saying in the state of Colorado that any sex crime, even bargined down to a lesser charge, the accused is STILL considered a a sex offender and has to register.
Until I see otherwise I'm sticking with them; they've been right so far.
It was my understanding from the beginning that even if Kobe got a prayer for judgement/probation (whatever they would call it) he would STILL have to register -- and that he would have to register in every city he traveled to and that he may not be able to live with his own daughter.
Then don't talk about me without pinging me so I can respond.
Do not post to me
Yes, but his fans don't believe he had a fair trial or that he really raped her. Fans are funny like that. They think their star is entitled to do whatsoever he wants as long as he scores for them.
If so, try spending more time reading books by women who have been raped and less time in front of Court TV.
What on earth is your point with this nonsense? It doesn't matter if the woman is concerned about preserving evidence. This is a CRIMINAL trial. The evidence at hand is precisely what is important. The victim doesn't get a free pass for the supposed reason that she unwittingly destroyed or tainted evidence.
(Please note that I don't watch Court TV at all. You may want to try it, however, since you seem to value the opinions of your friends over actual evidence in a case.)
I know what you are saying. But these threads have a long history of one group just refusing to face the facts.
Now I guess we will never know for sure how the innocent until proven guilty crowd would have reacted had the evidence weighed against Mr. Bryant, but who can be in favor of rape?
It always does; you know how they do, when lacking facts, they go for diversion........LOL.
Then stop posting ABOUT me.
It has been obvious around here for many threads that your problem is that Mr. Bryant is a sports figure, famous or something. It is of course unAmerican of you to want to convict Mr. Bryant because of who he is rather than what he did or did not do. You should be ashamed of yourself.
I will as long as you continue to post about me.
I will do a little more research on the statute and get back to you on this.
