CIA: 9/11 Plotters Transited Iran, Govt Tie Unseen
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - About eight of the Sept. 11, 2001, hijackers passed through Iran before attacking the United States, but there is no sign of official Iranian complicity, the CIA (news - web sites)'s acting director said on Sunday.

We are the "Stotters" who make ourselves aware of the enemy who wishes to do us harm

Yes, Eye witness. Was trying to get to the Port offices and can not get there now. This area is stricly cargo container. The Toyota end of that port is still open. But north of there is closed. Asked the cops working the line and only would say closed.

JACKSONVILLE, FL -- The Coast Guard Marine Safety Office in Jacksonville has closed the Port of Jacksonville to commercial vessel traffic until further notice ...

Port Richey is north west of Tampa, on the other side of the state. About 200 miles south west of J'Ville.

According to a television news producer, that area of the port is closed because of a bomb threat at a longshoremen's union headquarters. It must be election time for them.

It's been a few years since we've had a rip-roaring oil storage fire. The trouble with terrorists targeting that kind of thing is that it tends to blend in with natural accidents.

The Marines have a big Afloat Prepositioning program management site on Blount Island.

So let me get this straight:

They know there are WMD's

They know there are Nukes

They know Iran helped and more...

But Bush didn't do his job and lied?!?

More AWACS photos here...

If this is it, I refer you to ExSoldier's comments (paraphrasing) They are up there to protect you.

Don't worry about it & tell your daughter to be proud when she sees military aircraft. They're ours.

I used to keep the news articles in "my favorites" but if the article is deleted by the newspaper you got it from it's gone. I've learned the hard way.

I and others have put folders at thecabals site for months with the articles in full just to avoid that problem. I have listed here before for the most part what they are........here's everything.

(Since I have to work, that list and the emergency list are about all I can handle at the moment.)

I suggest anyone who has a news story that is 'important' and fits into a threat scenario put it over there in a folder. If a new folder is needed you can make one.

Thanks

CoCo ;-)

Hankies are cool. I carry mine everywhere, use it for some many things. At night it goes in the laundry bin, unless it wasn't used. But some people just don't get it, think it's gross or use their sleeves (which I think is gross) as they teach kids to do now in school.

Granted, he was talking about a different kind of aircraft with a different job description, the they all work toward the same goal.

It could not have been an AWACS. They fly at high altitude, and have their radar dome above the fuselage, not below. They are completely unsuited to low altitude missions.

I know a bit about aircraft, but am not aware of any specific aircraft that fits your description. However, based on your description, it is possible to make some educated guesses.

If detection equipment of some kind needs to be mounted outside the aircraft, it is likely to need a protective dome. What you described sounds like a protective dome. Why it was black, instead of the same color as the aircraft, I do not know. Perhaps the material used could not be painted.

It is unusual for equipment needing a dome to be mounted UNDER the aircraft because it can interfere with takeoff and landing. Usually equipment of this type is mounted on the nose, tail, or above the fuselage. However, mounting UNDER the fuselage can be done if it does not extend down very far below the fuselage.

I do not know what specific equipment would need to be mounted under the fuselage (instead of in the nose or tail), but the low altitude of the aircraft provides a clue. If the equipment they mounted is looking for something that can only be detected at very short range, or if the fuselage of the aircraft would interefere with detection, then it would be mounted under the fuselage.

Regardless of what the specific equipment in the dome was, you do not need to worry about this aircraft. It has been common knowledge for some time that we have specially equipped vehicles (boats, planes, vans, etc.) looking for all kinds of bad stuff. Since you live relatively near a nuclear power plant, it only makes sense that your area would occassionally be checked as a matter of routine.
