CIA: 9/11 Plotters Transited Iran, Govt Tie Unseen

The threat level hasn't been raised here in the U.S. And this message looks awfully high school girl "gushy" to be an official "thank you for services rendered". Doesn't Aljernon tend to post corroborating info just after an idea or rumor is bandied about? I think she's messing with us...or messed-up. Either way, I don't think there's any "there" there.

CONCERNS that US authorities may have tortured key witnesses could reportedly force German prosecutors to abandon a retrial of a Moroccan man on charges of assisting the September 11, 2001 attacks on the US.
Mounir El Motassadeq was the only person to have been convicted in connection with the attacks in New York and Washington.
But earlier this year Germany's top criminal court overturned his 15-year jail term saying he should have had access to testimony from a key witness being held in US custody.
Prosecutors had alleged that Mr Motassadeq, 29, was a member of al-Qaeda's Hamburg cell based around hijack leader Mohamed Atta's apartment.
But he denied knowing of the September 11 attacks, despite admitting he had gone to a training camp in Afghanistan, signed Atta's will and transferred thousands of dollars to accounts controlled by Ramzi Binalshibh, a Yemeni national believed to be one of the plot's main planners who is being held by US authorities after being captured in Pakistan.
The United States has now provided transcripts of its interrogations of Binalshibh and another alleged September 11 plotter, Khaled Sheikh Mohammed, but torture concerns could make them inadmissable in German courts. (Snip)

Mexico, Cuba to normalize relations

HAVANA, Cuba (AP) -- The Mexican and Cuban foreign ministers announced Sunday they would reinstate ambassadors to each other's countries on July 26, normalizing official relations after a diplomatic spat several months ago.
The two countries still had issues to work out, but they were back on the road to reconciliation, the ministers told a press conference after meeting Sunday afternoon.

I agree that it's flakey, but this contained different verbiage than in the previous post stating that a nuke had been found. I posted it because information was requested and it was what I found at the sourced web site. Did you follow the link to make an assessment? Report: Israel's 'first strike' plan against Iran ready

Israel has completed military rehearsals for a pre-emptive strike against Iran's nuclear power facility at Bushehr, Israeli officials told the London-based Sunday Times.
Such a strike is likely if Russia supplies Iran with fuel rods for enriching uranium. The rods, currently stored at a Russian port, are expected to be delivered late next year after a dispute over financial terms is resolved.
