Asa Hutchinson on John and Ken, KFI640 (Live Thread)
The John and Ken Show (KFI 64.0, Los Angeles) | truthkeeper

Posted on 07/08/2004 4:08:45 PM PDT by truthkeeper

After being inundated with calls from L.A. listeners, Asa Hutchinson has agreed to go on the show. He's on right now, so be there or be square. Will try to type the good stuff while I listen.

"Very, very doubtful."

"It's most likely to be Rove or Ridge."

IYO, is that giving Bush, who's completely aware of what's going on, plausible deniability of his administration's surrender to the pro-illegal immigration minority on the issue of interior sweeps?

Or is it that there's a complete disconnect in the White House and Bush is completely unaware that Asa stopped the sweeps? Maybe he's not aware that the sweeps ever happened at all?

In that case we should be making even more noise.

Maybe you believe that Rove and Ridge are pulling a 'Rasputin' and are usurping Bush's authority?

My take on it is that it's Bush's wish that the interior sweeps be stopped. How could it be otherwise? Especially after all of this media attention.

A federal judge threw their votes out.

Said federal judge having been appointed by Jimmy Carter (California supported him).

My home and vehicles have been broken into 22 times in five years

What will it be like ten tears from now? Even in Crawford, TX.

Well the leftist got their way. Been removed to the back room.

What a surpirse, and after the AM said he'd suspend people, instead, they remove the entire thread.

Proposition 187 is an anomaly against an otherwise solidly pro-illegal-alien voting record.

We also got rid of bilingual ed and racial preferences, both of which were supported by the pro-Illegal Alien lobby.

SB60 was heading for defeat in a referendum that would have been on the March ballot. Seeing that, the Dems afreed to rescind it.

Kindly note that the same electorate that passed 187 sent Feinstein back to the Senate, and re-elected local officials who have specifically forbidden their local law enforcement agencies from cooperating with the Border Patrol and INS.

Feinstein is middle of the pack against Illegals, better than a lot of Republicans in the House and Senate (Boxer is another matter).

In any event, neither has had to face a campaign where Illegals were a major issue, as GOP Senatorial candidates have been mealy-mouthed on the issue since 1994.

So far Bill Jones has talked a good game on Illegals, despite a rather flat delivery. It will be interesting to see how high a profile he takes on Illegals against Boxer, and if GOP leadership runs away from him if he does.

If Jones takes it to Boxer and the leadership doesn't wimp out, we should be able to take her seat.

It was a travesty, Grey Davis had the duty to defend the people's will and did nothing. I don't see Arnold jumping up and down to challenge this decision.

Discuss like adults or this thread will be pulled.

Why can't you just remove those that break the rules? Why did you ditch the entire thread?

I think I've got you figured out.... You just despise Californians! Doesn't matter if they're conservative or liberal, you put them all in the same category.

I hope you can someday understand that conservatives are a minority in California and we are trying to fight for what is right for the state, not what the ill informed majority has dumped on us.We're the good guys in this fight.

What?

You think yourself an American?

A real American would speak his mind without fear, and you won't out of fear of being banned from this forum.

You are not worthy of the title, because you FEAR ME!

I am younger, better spoken, and my political clout is growing while yours is wanning.

You align yourself with some political pariah who will never get beyond where he is right now, and knowing that, he's already reneged on his own promise to not run for reelection.

I am America sarcasm, you are something not quite dead, rotting away in the dustbin of history.

You're such a bore.Do you live in SoCA? Do you know where California is? Do you need an authority figure to make decisions for you? Is your real name Bush?

Its probably RINO Excuse Maker, the guy Dane has circled the wagons in defense of the indefensible. I was away on business and just listened to this interview on John and Ken's site and it was inexcusable, from a Californian's standpoint.

Man, when he threw in his moral clarity in the Clinton Impeachment in his face I thought Asa was going to meltdown. He's from Arkansas and was as charming as Slick Willie himself, but John didn't give an inch. It was great.

Illegal Alien Apprehensions Skyrocket in Response to Bush Amnesty Proposal.

When apprehensions are down, you complain. So now that apprehensions go up, you complain.

LOL!

I'd ordinarily take you a wee bit more seriously, but she was one of the first local leaders to forbid local law enforcement from cooperating with the BP/INS; that is now de rigeur across much of California. That means that she has a lot of mea culpa-ing to do on this topic, and the oddball vote on one minor point or another of the illegal alien problem is not nearly enough. She started the flippin' avalanche. Finally, most of her efforts "against illegal immigration" boil down to passing out more federal money to California to defray the costs of the illegal immigration she's encouraged.

I'm proud to stand with the good guys!!!! Maybe if fellow Pubbies in other states had a little more team spirit they would help to foster stronger support for Republican candidates in this state. I think they've just written us off. How sad for them.

Yeah, having lived here for 39 years, and having had close contact with the granola-eating, Birkenstock-wearing moonbats of this state...that's not far off.
