Sorry, wasn't clear. And yes, water rights are tricky.
Where I live, sometimes you hit water (wells) at 30 ft, and sometimes at 300. At $35.00/foot JUST to drill, it's expensive in all sorts of ways . . . that $35 doesn't include pipe, pump, tank if needed, or any sort of softeners or filtration which may very well be necessary . . .

Let's not even discuss waste disposal. Especially for an auto shop. Thanks.

By us, if farms did happen to want a well, they still have to pay the same price as if the water company pumped it to them without the well, so there is no reason to drill out this way.
