Good evening.
Evening
Grab a kleenex -- we are greiving for King Prout's wonderful kittie who passed. So we are all trading sad stories about our beloved pets who have passed or are thankfully with us. I wish I was home so I could give my kittie a hug and a kiss and watch her give me one of those "what the heck are you doing, Daddy?" looks.
My first dog died on Christmas morning. I had her since she was abandoned in a barrel in 30 degree weather in NY by her mother. We saved her, fed her with an eye dropper for a while since she was no more than 3 days old. Great dog, lived to be 15 or so.
I have an older kittie now, but she is aging great. Eyes as clear as a bell, beautiful fur and still lives outside.
Sorry about the King's kitty.
I am grateful too, and even more so for your cat. You did what any owner needs to be prepared to do, but not many of us could find your strength in that kind of situation.
I cannot even imagine how horrible that must have been for you. If that had happened to my cat Sasha, I don't know that I would have been able to have done the right thing. More than likely all I would have been able to do is panic, waste time and cause her needless suffering. I know this doesn't help you at this painful time, but you did the kindest and most humane thing you could do. I know that your cat would be grateful for helping him end his suffering as quickly as you did.
How the heck are you ACG??
Folks, we have GOT to stop this!!
1) It is making me cry and I am not like some chick that can put makeup on in the am to cover the lines (tossed that one in for the DU lurkers)
2) We've expressed our sorrow for KP and we all have him and his kitty in our prayers. We have done what we can and I know KP didn't want to bring us down when he shared his sad news.
3) It looks like an (R) won the Governorship in Washington (261 votes so a recall is in order).
4) Thank God for FR -- you all are my family (except for my wife, my brothers, sisters and of course my beloved 21yo kittie).
:)
good enough to jerk water from my eyes, dark.
thanks.
On my 5th day of antibiotics and doing better.
Had a bug that I couldn't shake and they put me on a ten day course of Biaxin XL 1000mg.
The stuff is amazing, even handles pneumonia.
I'm sorry you lost your old friend. my old dog died not too long ago. eleven years of companionship.
Losing Jones hurts me worse than did losing Sally only because it was so sudden and required brutal mercy from my own hand.
I wish I could have had his company for many more years.
21 YO kitty?
Wow, that is a healthy kitty.
feeling better?
what sort of bug?
Did you notice that the Clinton library looks like a trailer park version of an erection.
training.
I was trained pretty much from birth to shoulder the load, without hesitation or shirk, when push comes to shove. giving mercy is just part of that.
the hurt, like the fear and the regret, comes after.
it ALWAYS comes after.
I think it looks kinda like a scaled up and gussified single-wide.
Started off as a sore throat, went into a cold, then sinus, the ears and lastly upper respiratory.
Was starting to be three weeks in and I wasn't beating this thing.
First antibiotics for me in over a decade.
I'm allergic to penicillin, this drug works around that.
On the 4th day woke up feeling on the better side and with energy. Just some sniffles slightly now.
Five days of medicine to go still though.
Right, trailer park building. It's just a long shaft though. Talk about ego, this Clinton is something else.
ah - sounds like the crud I got hammered by.
fun stuff.
almost shut of the lung butter by now (knocking on wood)
no antibiotics for me - I don't take 'em unless it is a confirmed bacterial infection (which, for me, is rare)
viruses always lay me out.
wierd.
I am grateful for the good folks I have come to cherish on FR for helping me through this.
I'm getting a lid on it.
thanks.
something else... a turd, I believe. a massive gassy turd. the type which floats to the top and refuses to flush.
Well, it was ten years since my last medicines.
I happened to be playing tennis with my doctor. I couldn't move, balance was off, ears hurt, was hacking and coughing left and right. (A MESS)
Last couple of years have been tough, caught a bad one some time last year, but no pills.
We in California have more people with us from around the world more than anywhere else. I believe I am at least 5 times more exposed to weird bugs living here than most people in other states.
