Billboards Urge Men Not To Have Sex With Minors

RICHMOND, Va. -- The state is posting billboards with messages such as "Isn't she a little young?" as part of a campaign to dissuade men from having sex with underage girls.

The campaign is aimed at reducing the number of young girls who have children with older men, the Virginia Department of Health said Monday.

In 1999 and 2000 in Virginia, men over 18 were responsible for 219 births involving girls who were 13 and 14, the department said.

Messages such as "Isn't she a little young?" and "Sex with a minor, don't go there" also appear on posters, coasters and napkins in bars, restaurants and stores in five cities.

"We encourage adult men to talk to their peers and discourage them from pursuing teenagers. What they are doing is unhealthy and against the law," said Robert Franklin, a health department official.

The "Lolita" syndrome. Older men see in teenage girls a chance to recapture their lost youth. The billboards make a good point; if you're going to sleep with a woman and she gets pregnant, you, NOT the taxpayers, have an obligation to support the child of the union.

Man, I wish that were true. Instead, we get schtuff like this (not work safe).

Are the kind of men who have sex with children really the type of people that will react to a scolding on a billboard?

One more milestone on the road to Hell since America stopped teaching values.

Not only that, the public billboards themselves are offensive and assault modesty. A society out of control.

Well wait a minute, now... In San Francisco sometimes you take a woman home that you don't discover isn't actually a woman until you're both naked.
In West Virginia, you take a woman home because she's your sister and she lives there anyways.

There's a big difference. Surely you've known she's your sister for a while.

I swear I didn't know she was my sister until both our food stamps came the same day...to the same address! Of course by then we had 6 kids and a doublewide. It don't matter none. This way she don't have to change her drivers license.

But them San Francisco types...ewww! That's not normal.
