Boxers have died, and at least one football player been paralyzed, to entertain us. I assume you'll want these sports banned?
That being said, this girl is nuts. What is with all this faux victimization? The scenes were so awful for her at the outset, she was traumatized by the brutality of the whole thing, she hates it. Blah, blah, blah. Yet, she continues to make these films, boasts of her "pride" in doing so, says she's "addicted to the money", and eats up the attention she gets from her fans. Sheesh.
ABC is really getting played by this self-destructive girl m.o. The girl makes huge problems for herself, then plays the damsel in distress routine about those very problems. But, she's a woman, so she's automatically the sympathetic figure in the whole thing.
Look, I do feel bad for her situation. But she can leave at any time! She can go back home and get her life together. But, oh no, that can't happen. No more paychecks, no more awards... the poor thing, trapped between a rock and a hard place! And now she's got a romance with a porn star. Yeah, that might work out.
PRECISELY. If you're so shallow you'd throw away your self-respect for $4K, you'll get exactly what you deserve in the end. And apparently, Belladonna very much enjoyed getting it in the end. Ba-dump-bump.
I'm sorry. At 18 she became a "true adult". Either we have to say that the age of consent is too low or that she was responsible for her own life at that point.
Apparently you're under the delusion that I agree that all "intrinsic evils" (still yet to be defined) should be illegal. But I don't.
So if I think pornography should be legal, that in no way implies I think it's neutral, let alone a good. In fact, although there's still no definition of intrinsic evils, any reasonable definition would include pornography. I happen to be of the opinion that any reasonable definition of an intrinsic evil would also include such things as blasphemy, promoting Judaism, promoting Islam, denying the Trinity, or for that matter eucharistic adoration.
Boxers wear gloves and football players wear helmets. There are also penalties.
Those regs don't exist in the porn industry.
"Is that the way you'd describe Michelle's story?"
"Michelle had gotten her start in the business at 18, when she came to Los Angeles from her home in Utah to look for work as a nude photograph model. When she failed to get modeling work, her agent encouraged her to try porn. She refused at first. "I always hated porn. I thought it was the most disgusting thing in the world," she told Primetime, which followed her career for more than two years.""But she finally agreed."
"She was shocked when the director told her he wanted her to do anal sex snip- she let him talk her into it."
"Then her agent sent her on a job where she would have sex with male actors in prison outfits 12 of them. Once again, she tried to back out, telling the director it was "sick," but once again she was talked into it."
"Afterward, she says, she couldn't stop crying. She packed her bags and went home to her family in Utah. -snip-But within a year, she was back."
"She said he could keep having sex with other women"
"I can say that I've done pretty much everything there is to do, and I can walk away feeling a little proud about it, you know?"
Michelle confessed she often felt physical revulsion during her scenes: "My whole entire body feels it when I'm doing it and ... I feel so so gross." While pretending to be enjoying the sex, she said, she was in fact counting the minutes, telling herself, "Hey, I only have this much time left. Don't worry about it. Get the check. Gonna go deposit it in your bank." She admitted: "You get addicted to the money."
Yeah...she's a "victim", and it's all our fault.
/sarcasm
You are free to believe that, and act upon it, within legal bounds. -- I am free to demand that you leave me alone, as I don't want to be 'kept'.
The purpose of society is to promote the common good.
Promoting liberty & justice come first. The common 'good' cannot exist without the first two.
Turning a blind eye to vice is not charitable, it's evil. Specifically, it's a sin of omission.
See above. - I don't want your charity, - I want liberty from those who use 'evil' human vice as an excuse to curtail our freedoms.
Intrinsic evils should be criminalized.
It is intrinsically evil to criminalize consensual human 'vice'. -- And in fact, our Constitution was written to protect us from such infringements on our liberties.
Chasey always had the most beautiful pair of...eyes. :-)
It's too bad her parents didn't warn her about this aspect of the world. I have a rebellious teen daughter and I had to start telling her of some of these ugly realities early, especially when I read that the average prostitute starts turning tricks at about 14 years of age.
My responsibility to society is to live according to the laws of my country and to be exist peacefully among my fellow men. My responsibility to society is not to correct the moral mistakes other people may make, just as surely as it's not my responsibility to society to correct the financial mistakes other people may make.
What kind of modernist garbage is this statement? "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil."
And yet death and paralysis still occur. Should we regulate those sports until death and paralysis are impossible? If not, why should we hold porn production to that standard?
Who wrote all the state Constitutions and local laws banning prostitution and adultery and a host of other behaviors?????????? I guess those folks were unenlightened as to the true meaning of liberty. Or maybe they knew better.
HA!!
Well one of her promos read:
"Watch Belladonna Smother men!
Face sitting, Butt worship, PPV."
Truth in advertising?
Maybe.
God only knows *what* the [porno] term "PPV" stands for too, other than "Pay-Per-View"?
In any event, some sick-sick stuff.
...for some sick-sick people.
Oh OK. Since nothing is perfect, we shouldn't try anything. Good answer.
Sheesh....
Which laws do you wish to obey? The ones that the Supreme Court has recently begun to outlaw? Or the laws that have been on the books for years and years?
Quality find. All these self-righteous tears for a woman who sold her soul this way.
I obey the "mind my own business" law, and the "live and let live" law.
