I WILL not falter. I WILL get these boys ready to show no mercy and rid this town of this CANCER. Extreme prejudice and violence of action....
Appreciate the intel...
Too bad the decisions are above his pay grade...
Probably above the O-9 running this c.f....

God bless the Marines.I am grateful for their courage, their sacrifice and their service.I hear we may have left those positions, but we are still close with artillary reset to the northern section where the insurgents are.
It is always heartbreaking to hear of the deaths and severe wounds.War is indeed hell.I understand and share the frustration level, but I do weary of the decision making expertise of people who are not there.I have read too many conflicting reports lately about Fallujah. We'd have never made it through the Battle of the Bulge in WW2.God knows,we'd have despaired over the war in the Pacific.
I know that mistakes are made and blood is lost when they are made.I know our troops get word of all the criticism and it demoralizes them.God bless our troops.God bless the medics and chaplains.
I will say extra prayers for wise decisions by the ones who are in charge.I always pray for our armed forces .

hate to spoil yall party but I enjoy af_vet_1981 posts and tend to agree with him. That's just fine, jpsb, but it doesn't change the fact that he just lied about me, and then said that it was MY behavior that was bad.

Three short comments.
I have no 'circle' (but you apparently do have a degree of paranoia, and an overactive imagination to think that I do).
I have 'blind unswerving loyalty' to no human being. My only unswerving loyalty is to God through Jesus Christ, and it is not blind.
I trust the brilliant and highly successful U.S. military under this Commander in Chief more than I trust 'nuke em' armchair generals..........especially ones like you with giant chips on their shoulders and axes to grind, who believe every rumor they read in the leftist press.
Now as I said before, don't lie about me again (and, for goodness' sake don't ping me to it) and I'll just make my life more pleasant by ignoring you in the future.

You know, sometimes it's really hard to tell whether these guys are 'hand-wringing, armchair nuke-tossers' or DU disruptors saying outrageous things to divide conservatives and hurt the cause of conservatism.
I'll trust you on this guy, though. I just wonder why all of these 'nuke em' guys believe the Washington Post et al, anyway? If they're conservatives, they oughtta know better, ya think??
Perhaps it's that their disdain for the President is greater than their disdain for the left.......

Now as I said before, don't lie about me again I did not lie about you in the first place.
Pearls of spiritual wisdom from the erudite adjunct professor - This is what I refer to as a "Jr. High boys' locker room thread."
- You aren't well, are you? Carry on, oh wise armchair general. Emote and anguish with your puter buddies til the cows come home.
- Aren't you and your naysayer cronies a wee bit embarrassed??
- Yes........we do, and you are obviously not part of the real world.
- You, sir.......along with your drama queen cronies here........do not live in the real world.
- As a teacher, I must say that there is some evidence of autism in your posts........or perhaps compulsive disorder syndrome.
- We must bathe this country and our Godly President in prayer, every minute of every day! [obviously you are not heeding your own advice while making these comments]
I don't mind sycophantic adoration of President Bush as long as you let other people have their say without personally attacking them.

I try to analize what is going on at a stratigic level, looks at risks and the opportunities. At a tactical level, I am clueless since I am in Texas not Iraq.
So far the only decsion I am highly critical of is CIC decsion not to allow the Marines to take Fallujah. I think that was a very poor decsion, and drives a lot of lesser (apparently) poor tactical decsion.

In keeping with my total honesty on this board, I will admit that a few of those comments should not have been made, and for those I apologize.
But I would also ask for honesty from you (which you have not thus far produced).
To be fair, you needed to have posted those in context including the 'personal attacks' on me that provoked some of them. You should also have posted your own deliberately needling, repetitive posts to me (causing the compulsive disorder comment, which was OBVIOUSLY a joke), and should have made the point that several of those were not directed at anyone in particular, and could only be construed as personal if you took it that way.
As for the jr hi locker room, with the macho 'nuke em' comments made in the safety of one's computer room with nothing at risk, and the 'armchair general' description about those who do NOT have accurate information but make accusations of those who do, that's what many (perhaps most) of us see in the comments here........
Now, I ask forgiveness from the Lord, and any I've offended for comments that went beyond sarcasm into sin.
But your initial post on this thread about me was untrue, and I will ask again that you not lie about me in any future posts. And as to the 'sycophant' stuff. It's old, and it's wrong (find a dictionary), so give it up.......please.

How do you know that was not a military decision, approved by the CinC?
I have not read or heard that it wasn't from any reliable source. The only sources I trust are the military leaders themselves, and to my knowledge, they have not said that the CinC didn't 'let them' take Fallujah.

I was on that thread. It was a sensationalist headline by Drudge.
I also heard it denied by Kimmit.
Where is the evidence other than that Drudge headline?

Yea, I read a bunch of posts saying Drudge was wrong, but then again the planned offensive never did happened, and things pretty much went as Drugde reported. So it isn't dificult to determine that the drudge report was in fact correct. So you can believe your lying eyes or you can believe kool-aid drinking freepers, it is entirely up to you.

Please read my question again. You obviously misunderstood what I asked you.
I asked how you knew that the decision not to carry out the planned offensive (yet) was not a military decision, but was imposed against their will by the CinC.
Leave the kool-aid comments out, and answer the question if you can.
The military people who are making statements don't back you up. I just wondered where you got your inside information that Kimmit, Myers, et al, are lying about this.

Apology accepted and forgiveness rendered. Believe it or not, we are on the same side. I believe I'm entitled to offer President Bush aggressive constructive criticism. My vote and hope is not in doubt.

hate to spoil yall party but I enjoy af_vet_1981 posts and tend to agree with him. And CNN, ABC, AP, etc.etc.
Well, where are you getting your insight from 6000 miles away Dane? Many of the people making the posts about Fallujah going the wrong way are veterans. What makes your opinion outweigh the opinions of those who have served in the military?
To: ohioWfan
I answered the question, provided my primary source, which I believe, and explained why I believe the drudge report. So I am finished with this line of questioning. We can just agree to disagree, which is OK with me.

You answered the question, provided your primary source, but never provided a shred of proof that your claim was valid.
That's all I was asking for, but I see you now that you can't back up what you've said.
Thanks, anyway. Your dodge made my point.
I will continue to believe the President and the Generals rather than Drudge, the Washington Post and you.
Seems logical to me to believe the REAL authorities, and I'm sure I'm not alone in that......
