Pilot suggested passengers discuss Christianity during LA-to-New York flight

An American Airlines pilot flying passengers from Los Angeles to New York asked Christians on board to identify themselves and then suggested that non-Christian passengers discuss the faith with them, the airline confirmed Saturday.

The pilot, whose identity was not released, had been making flight announcements before he asked that the Christians on board raise their hands, said American Airlines spokesman Tim Wagner.

If you had any appreciation of religion, you would know that we're all children of Jesus, a Jewish carpenter.

And if you had any appreciation of religion, you would know that the Jews did not Jesus as the Mesiah. Rather than found him to be a blasphemer and worse. Very few Jews accepted Christ and very very do today.

Good for him! He's doing the right thing. No one is FORCING anyone to convery but atleast if they are curious someone could fill in the details. It's too bad some find the very though offensive. YOU don't get to decide to practice religion in a confined space if you work for someone who says you can't.

I suspect this captain will be disciplined. This is not the kind of publicity American Airlines needs.

More power to ya my friend. Our discussions with people like Hairofthedog, sinkspur and dave s make you appreciate what its like for Sean when he goes up against a nonbeliever like Combs or Lanny Davis.
